South African living in the UK.
I'm an ambitious Singer/songwriter - trying my best to get my music out there!
Not yet 100% raw - busy experimenting at the moment (and trying to convince my husband that it's better to be natural!!)
I am Vegetarian however, but lately have found myself struggling to come up with new food ideas!
I'm also an Entrepreneur... new ideas ALL THE TIME! So watch this space for something new to come soon.
I have crazy hair, but I love it. I love cats... I love the colour green! My husband makes me laugh outa my gutt and I love that!
I love feeling free and I get this mostly from spending my time at the beach.
I love meeting new people - it's been a little tough in England (only been here a year) - so I would like to meet people who love life and being natural... so I can make a new circle of friends to do outdoor activities with myself and my husband.
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
I'm mostly after advice and moral support.
I believe that I can learn so much from the next person, as they might be where I want to be...
Relationship Status:
Married
Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?
Nut salad + Humus
Interests (outside of Raw Food):
I love the outdoors... I think most raw foodists do.
I would love to get back into hiking and canoeing/kayaking and sandboarding. So if you know of any places I can check out in the UK... pleeeeease let me know.
South Africa is my home grounds, and there is no problem for me to find stuff out there, it's over here that I'm finding it hard right now.
Favorite Books or Authors:
The Surrendered Wife - Laura Doyle

joburg's growing...been cold, but now warming up, you know how south africans complain about winter! some very interesting arts events are coming up, and some have just passed..the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz fest is coming this weekend...very excited about that...great great great Jazz fan...perhaps my band will be on the lineup next year! ... recession is the recession, almost like in any other major city in the world. there's obviously been a lot of ruckus with the whole Caster Semenya situation; OR TAMBO international was packed to the hilt with welcoming south africans when the Athletics South Africa team and athletes returned recently from Berlin & the championships...also, there was a huge strike & tussle between the SA National Defence Force, and the SA Police Services...terrible clashes over pay disputes...anyway, that's all negative stuff...and yet there's so much GOOD AND POSITIVE STUFF HAPPENING DAILY! I'd recommend you read a really interesting blog recently developed by The Economist, whose theme is The Unexpected things about Jozi/joburg... www.theunexpected.co.za : It kinda has the sort of feel about what's positively evolving in joburg, a spirit of community, a spirit of awareness, or higher inclination, noticing the beauty around us, the creativity, in the midst of the hustle and bustle ...very cool site. i hope all gets better for you, otherwise COME BACK! :-) i'm sure with your creative spirit there's a very great season of blessings coming your way very soon where you are! much love and joy to you and your loved one my dear.
have in fact been working for Peter and beryn of Soaring Free Superfoods for the last nearly two years and they have brought rawfood to SA in a BIG way:). Want to see how it's all going in the 'first' world;).
helloooo:). my music shall always be there, planning on recording with a friend in London. Just want to expand my skills and knowledge around raw food living:). Music is as much what I am as what I do so I don't feel I need to rush it...
have a lovely evening
