- It grows in Costa Rica, two month season in August/Sept. gotta get em when they fall, two days to eat it. Not possible to ship, but its worth getting a tree if you live somewhere tropical.

- Dont agree with the smell analysis. It's roses to me, maybe a little cream cheesey, but nothing like Wiki says in my opinion. All the raw fooders who tasted this fruit last August loved it with no complaints. Perhaps the writer for Wiki didnt have a real ripe one, which would greatly influence the odor. We picked them within hours of falling ripe on the ground and eating them fresh within 24 hours. Makes a difference with this fruit.

looks pretty lush and creamy Mich hey? i reackon we have only touched the tip of the fruit bounty thats available in the world...;)
which is prob just as well,considering i have lowered my fruit intake so much...at least now when i eat my fruits i savor them,not shove them in just cos they are sugar calories lol ;)

Mabolo fruit is ripe only in August to September in our region in Costa Rica.
A true tidbit..If you ate a different fruit every day for 100 years, you would not even come close to the number of edible fruits on this planet. Costa Rica is said to have 6% of all the worlds species of plants.
