Share 'Dreadlocks for your children'

Hi Parents, For some of you who have allowed your children's hair to naturally lock, did you make that decision for them or did they ask you? What was the decision behind it. I'm curious to find out your thoughts and opinions. My hubs wants to have our son's (he just turned one today) hair to naturally lock. I disagree. I want my son to make that decision when he's ready.
