I am doing a 3 year BWY yoga course and I am finding that there is too much academia for me
....I am interested in doing another yoga course.
.and I would love any ideas/recommendations from anyone who has done another course.
And also if it lead to a successful recognised yoga practice
I like Ashtanga yoga.....
thank you guys this will be soooo helpful OM (:
Integral Hatha Yoga is wonderful. I took it privately here in Texas. It is what you would probably want to do before Ashtanga, because it introduces you to short chanting, breathing exercises, sun salutation, backbends, forward bends, shoulder stand, fish pose, and spinal twists.
I find that it was quite easy to study, not too much Academia...but I have practiced for 12 years. Im sure you have practiced for a while, so it would be easy to absorb the information!
Ashtanga is a much more intense version of Integral Hatha.
I highly recommend it. It was developed by Sri Swami Satchidananda, who brought the yoga movement to America.
aw thanks there.... i have been doing yoga for a few years but i have only started to teach and i teach free at the moment..which is fine...i am in my 2nd year BWY so i ve done the anatomy..aaargh! and physiology etc and asanas and now doing philosophy. and pranayama....which i love! but I have been spending all my time writing essays etc and i have done enough of this doing iridology etc and now I would like something less in the head..you know... I will look at Integral Yoga by all means ..thank you soo much (:
As for Bikram I have nt had a go at this but would nt say no to it. but I would like to be teaching the breathing and meditation too....(:
thank you thank you so much every one ill' let you know about my decision when i make it.... i feel quite xcited a si have never given up a course in the middle of doing it..too scary but here i am now rebelling...and it feels liberating! (:
Can you believe it! I applied for sivinanda course and the director said that as I was into raw food, that they do not cater for raw students due to the Ayurvedic philosophy! I felt so annoyed at this and flet like telling them to check out Gabriel Cousens Tree of Life! aaaaargh! But in my wisdom i know this is not meant to be the course i am meant to do and there is something better for me around the corner...(: It would be cool to finda yoga course embracing RAW!?
Oh I am sooo excited & nervous at the same time !
I have found the ideal yoga course! Which is going to cost an arm & a leg!!! So I am going to do some selling..my Iridology equipment....which is me saying to the universe I am changing direction! I am going to do the Radiant Living Yoga course in Bali which is run by raw food enthusiasts ! Including Gabriel Cousens..talk about finding the right course! Yippee...yadoo day ! (:
Has anyone done this or heard about it or know anyone that has done this ? (:
Thank you so much for everyone's advice and help on this post (:
Try this. I found out about it when I worked at Jubbs longevity. There is absolutely no aftertaste and a bottle lasts forever. I've been using it for years. Lucky Vitamin has amazing prices on many things too.

I like to do fasts as well and I think the power in fasting is that its a remedial action, one part of the process of purifiying. For instance if you feel you have a lot of non-virtuous residue or spiritual obstacles to remove, you generate regret...
