Give it to me Raw

I've just started practicing Yoga daily. I've put together a routine using yogajournal and youtube videos. I also attend classes occasionally.

Today I did it for about 30 minutes. Along with breathing techniques and meditation it comes to 45 minutes.

BTW does anybody practice pranayama (breathing exercises) also?

Focusing on the breath is an important part of the beginning of each yoga practice. This is a time when the energy shifts from the doingness of the day to the beingness of putting my body on the floor, leaving thoughts behind, and experiencing god breathing me. After that, the length of time I spend doing hatha poses is of little importance, but often it is around an hour and a half total. For a well balanced practice I would suggest that you vary the poses you do each time and learn which poses counter-balance each other so you can alternate. Another thing is to recognize that we all eventually find poses that we love to hate for a variety of reasons and we tend to avoid those when in reality we are being given a sign that we need to explore them more fully. Finally, the yogi who has taught me hatha suggests that one takes at least one day off a week from hatha - meditation and breath practice are fine on the off-day

since I find no reason to believe in 'allergies' against 'natural' appropriate stuff, I would think it's more likely just the fact that pineapple if bought in store is pretty much always unripe. Not that it matters to the situation perhaps. ...but...

Yes ma'am. Resting as completely as possible with eyes closed; getting enough water; avoiding too much sun; avoiding toxic substances (personal care products, cleaning products, etc.)

Hey Michele! We fast 8-10 people per year for 6 weeks and most of them have amazing experiences. Incidentally, though some people imagine there's a need to "work up" to a long fast like this, many are fasting this long for the first time; in fact,...
