Hey ya'll, I practice Bikram Yoga while being 90-100% raw. When practicing my concentration is so much deeper and I am able to give 110% majority of the time.
Just want to know who else practices BK. What are your experiences? Do you have any specific foods that you eat before class or after class?
I did Bikram for three years. Mostly, seven days a week, did doubles, 28- day challenges, two of them. Added bulk muscle. To me, it's like raw foods, doesn't matter what anyone thinks, or the "scientific" evidence they present to dissuade you. If you get results......it's what matters.
Keep asking questions, I did, like about replenishing electrolytes. In fact, every teacher I had, I spent hours and hours grilling, even did a week-end with the B and his wife. Love.
it was not easy for me to get straight answers (still isn't) regarding hydration (or anything else!! - you shoulda heard me on the horn this morning) - teachers didn't want to go on record, or be held responsible, so do your own "due diligence" as they say. some recommended "Ener-C" or whatever those popular powder packets from whole foods, some teachers drank GATORADE!!
i did enjoy seeing the results of doing the same exercises, basically, every day. i say basically, cuz you do them a "little" differently each time, based on your consciousness, and then, based on the CHANGES in you.
i stopped cuz the teachers wouldn't leave me alone.
Yeah it is strange that some times I feel really great after class and sometimes just average. One factor is the consciousness of it like you said. Yogabrudder, did you feel the same way? ie not the same every class.
What do you mean -"the teachers wouldn't leave me alone?" :-)
I would like to now list the benefits I have experienced since being on a low fat raw vegan lifestyle....
* Easily maintain a healthy weight, gaining weight is DIFFICULT unless I eat salt (which i haven't for 2years)
* Very quick recovery from i...
sub-acids are my favourite - but they bastards don't leave the tops on them and i can't plant them.... i must go to a sub-acid farm and steal some!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Your dog is sooo cute! I have a dog too and two cats, and I looove them! I feed them wheatgrass and they actually choose that before regular grass wich they normally chew on in the garden.
I decided to have a 50/50 raw/cooked meal at Vita last night, having had a desire for warm meals for last couple of weeks. They had a Vegan Paella, it was amazing but it's only the second time I have had grains for a year and I had headache soon a...
It's actually surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it. No machete required. Shave off the husk at the pointed top close to the shell. Then poke the point of a knife in about 2 or 3 cm out from the centre and wiggle it about until it pierces ...
