IMPORTANT
PLEASE tell me if you DONT want if put on FACEBOOK
i am transferring over today
i will be putting - thanX A (1st letter of christian name after it)
Thete are 3 good springs around the Malvern Hills, and I'm lucky to have one in Cenarth, West Wales, a mile from my home. Good springs are everywhere, it's just a case of finding out how to track them down. I guess naturopaths, dowsers, witches etc usually know! Please don't involve me in Facebook. Good luck
thanX Lindajoy
a mile - i am sooo envious.
i know they are around
but finding them is like finding needles in a haystack.
i havent had any additions other than mine (ours)
on the site most people have joined
so they can find out where they are.
i wont mention you
i will just put 'i have heard'
is that ok with you?.
as for my IMPORTANT bit
i worded that wrong didnt i
saying if you dont want 'it' on FB.
what i meant was if you dont want recognition.
or of course 'it' if it is in your back garden :)
Sorry folks xx
There's a spring in Gainford I visit the most, there's a video you can watch here that someone made - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WSH8TCQ1aQ
Could anyone give me advice on how I can test the water?
I've drank it often but my canine friend doesn't like to for some reason, probably the sulphur smell?
thanx for the video i will post on FB if i can work out how :)
Daniel Vitalis has lots of vids on water
i dont know if you can get the apparatus over here but
if you haven't checked out his stuff it's well worth a gander.
sulphur smell is offputting but apparantly you can still drink it at Gainford.
There's quite a few listed there, mainly in the north.
and here's some more, http://www.halikeld.f9.co.uk/holywells/index.htm
I love how sacred these used to be, today it's unlikely you''ll ever see anyone.
Instead they spend money on liquid that makes them ill. :(
thanX again Tristan
i have transfered to FB
those piccies look amazing so majickal.
yes strange isn't it how we buy water/liquid (including me)
when we could be sourcing it for free.
but then i have decided for me to source pure for free
it will cost me in the horrendous petrol prices to get to a source.
so not really free but hey ho it is a good day out.
i am willing to do this although as yet i haven't actually found any.
not for the lack of trying :).
i did find what i thought was a great source
(and may still be)
at a cafe about 15 miles away
she charged me 1 pound for each 5litre bottle
i didn't mind that as it is all i have found so far.
but then the lady i work with said there
is/used to be a landfill site on the other side of the road.
so now i am unsure.
it cost the cafe 1000's pounds to have it drilled up as well
and they UV filter it.
by the way she doesn't want it on FB.
if anyone has any ideas please feel free to discuss.
also someone asked me the question:
how long does the water last once you have bottled it.
personally i keep for about 10/14 days
but once i open the bottle i drink in 2/3 days.
How long the water stays fresh is important I agree, I'm also unsure myself. I imagine glass bottles would help along with many other factors like temperature, and quality of the water in the first place.
I haven't collected large amounts before, I suppose in the way that vegetables start to lose minerals as soon as they are picked, the same happens here.
It looks as though in most places there are springs within at least 5 to 10 miles. Are they not very common where you live?
I'd always prefer to drink it as fresh as i can, I'd love to one day live near a spring and use it as a household water supply. A constant supply of water that was in the ground just seconds ago would be amazing.
Thinking about it, what constitutes public water being considered drinkable, the amount of days since it was chlorinated perhaps? Lots still to learn :D
i dream of living on land with springs
and my dreams are reality waiting to happen:).
i agree about the veg/water all living things.
i would ideally drink from the spring
but this cafe is the only one i have found near me.
the cafe is probably more than 15 miles away
and i am really not sure about this landfill thing.
nobody seems to want to tell me where their springs are
just all around and then you look and it is all private land
and they wont say any more :(.
i dont think there is a date on water bottles
and they have been hanging around in stores
they are properly sealed though.
tap water must be sitting in pipes ontop of having chlorine yuk
so much to learn :D
It's so great to have you here, Loren. And we are fortunate to receive the benefits of your years of experience with fasting. All your posts are extremely helpful to me and I am tremendously appreciative of your willingness to participate here so ...
YUM! That looks sooooo good, I love sushi so much but haven't had it years, since I don't get the conventional stuff anymore ( I call them mercury rolls) and I'm too lazy to make something like this.....will you come over and make it for me, pleee...
There is a great fruit wholesaler in town, specializing in Local, organic fruit actually.
All I need is a few people, a car and one willing person to go up there with me at some unholy hour (they close at 9am) once a week and it's beautiful fruit ...
