i donated too but anyways, if you are interested grab it and let's chat about it! there are interesting discussions and seeming wisdom on the website too.
Yes, I started reading it two weeks ago. On page 100 and something. I love it. I've been practicing some if it and while I actually already knew a lot of it, this kind of solidified some things for me (though I can't say I agree entirely with all of it). I really think the most powerful concept has been not "living off prana" but rather, being self-existant and not even needing prana.
mmmmm.... self-existant. that feels good. that feels god. :) i am popping around the book getting to know it now. yes i really feel what you are saying. often i reallleee don't feel the need for food at all yet feel somehow compelled to eat eventually... i look forward to digging in here and i agree about not forcing this, it does'nt seem right to force it. and the stuff about us wanting to be here on this plane, partly to experience eating and food, makes sense, and helps me to detach a bit, as i've sort of come around the block and now my desire is to experience non eating.
Yes, it's all god. But you have to watch the ego. When that comes up, you have to say, I am non-existant. Identity can shift, and you have to shift your consciousness / meditation / mantra to match it . . .
I've found that when I'm out alone in the woods, my desire to eat is almost non-existant. I think it has to do with habit. Also, if you are around a kitchen, your thoughts are going to be around food. I found just shifting my location in a house to shift "hunger". I also think we have a deep desire to be attached to nature, and when we are sitting inside this boxy house, food is the only way we can do that. Often, sinse we don't connect when nature on other sensory levels (sound, touch, sight, smell) we end up overloading on taste!!
We can't force, but we can guide and direct. We can create.
I had some serious desires to experience food when trying to do the non-eating, so (and I don't necesarily recommend this) I went overboard and ate pretty much whatever I wanted, and a LOT of it. I ate it consciously though, knowing that I was giving it up forever (or willing to). I seared it deep into my forever memory so that know, I actually don't have the desire for it. I think a lot of our desire is there because we don't eat consciously, and quickly forget about our moment of bliss. It's all short term and then we have to do it all over again . . .
The idea of the food I'm eating not being grown ethically (i.e. without fossil fuel) also has been a good motivator for me to get off food.
wow super cool. i like your thoughts around eating being a desire to be closer to nature when we're in a boxy house. i was thinking about what you are saying earlier today too, as i am around people who like to eat right now, so even tho i was intending to juice feast, i have been eating during this time.
so non existant and self existant are similar in what you are saying.............................
i once had a realization and told a friend, 'rebbi, i am just an idea in the mind of god!' and rebbi replied, 'yes, but a good idea!'
the writing below is straight from the book and makes a LOT of sense. even tho the whole thing about non-earing may seem to make no sense at all in a culture where we believe we have to eat... nevertheless i get what he is saying, if we are prepared to be able to do this safely, it will become apparent.
from life style without food:::
BUILDING THE BODY
Building material for inediate's body cells is created from Light, which
source is IAM (Consciousness' piece) of the person. Therefore an inediate
needs nothing to insert into the digesting track.
Building material for non-inediate is delivered from the outside in form of
food, drink, air and radiation. If the amount of the building material is too
little, the body will show deficiencies which manifests as defects and
misfunctions.
DISPOSITION
During initial two to three weeks of fasting your disposition can be quite
changing. There is no need to be concerned (within limits of reason, of
course) about your body weakness, pain, dizziness, nausea or other
symptoms occurring during this time. These are body cleansing or self-
healing signs. However, later, when the body approaches its natural state,
which usually takes two to three weeks (can be much longer in case of
obese person), your disposition becomes perfect. Only then (maybe for the
first time in life) you understand what it means to feel well and to be truly
healthy. You have so much energy, will to live, work and to be physically
active and also big creativity manifests.
What happens next with flow of time?
If you can live without food or be an inediate the good disposition will
remain and everything associated with it. Good mood, happiness, self-
satisfaction, optimistic lovely attitude towards others indicate good state of
the body. “In healthy body healthy spirit dwells.” — a Polish saying.

However if you are unable to live without food, you will be week,
unwilling to do anything or even feel sad. The more your body will need
food, the worse you may feel psychically. This indicates that you should go
back to eating.
Summary.
If you have not eaten for several weeks and you still feel well and the body
weight does not go below the proper value, this looks like you can live
without food. However if after several weeks (let's assume that for a
statistical, not overweight individual it is forty days) your body's weight
goes under the proper value and (which is even worse) you feel bad, this
should make you conclude that the body is being harmed. So if you do not
give food to the body, you can make it fail.
That's hilareous. My husband looks at the sun to make himself sneeze. There's some weird phenomena that 10% of the population has that looking at the sun makes them sneeze.
being connected nope not a coincidence...raw opens up our chakras and there you have it,wham it hits you in the face sometimes Chris, its intense but intensely exciting...

Hi Loren. Dillon is 6 years old, very skinny and eats like a horse, I have noted in the past that when he has had a virus and been suffering from fever and lack of appetite that his autism is less severe.
celery is hugely important in my diet,as i dont add salt to anything..when i do have the occasional piece of sunbread or raw chocolate which contains salt,i reallllly feel it quite negatively....
great advice Loren :)
Great points RG you're right, one size dosent fit all. For me it was purely a health thing to start, but then as you so well described it, the layers started peeling back. It really took me by surprise, was very unexpected, which is why I now just...
Hi Nicole,
How old is your son? As far as diet, I would be giving him plenty of fruit, and plenty of simple salads, including lots of tomatoes and perhaps some celery as both are high in sodium.
But as I understand it, salt cravings are usually ...
