Give it to me Raw

Since I work, I have to make my juice in the early morning, after exercising. Is it better to save it and drink it later in day or to have it freshly pressed? What is more beneficial = extending hours without food in system (by not having juice until hungry or drinking the juice freshly pressed? I have a Champion juicer (a really old one that works great).

I guess since I have my green juice shortly after waking up puts me at level 3. But I eat so little during the day after my juice (a couple of pieces of fruit, maybe some raw chocolate, maybe herbal tea), which is more like a level 1. I will often do only green juice until dinner.

Dinners are level 2. Maybe 1 or 2 cooked meals a week.

Weekends I can revert back to level 3 and did most of winter. I'm lightening things up now just because I'm cultivating the quality of "lightness" in my life and my desire for fats is really low these days.

Truth is, when I get back from a run, after my shower, I crave the green juice. So I'm not sure my body would want to wait anyway.

I would say listen to your body! When you feel the need, eat/drink. This may change from day to day. It makes sense that after running, you are ready to refuel - especially when eating so lightly.

HI,

Yes, when your body wants it, it tells you! Sounds like you are already fairly in touch with your body, so just listen in some more. Mornings when you are hungry for it, drink it after your run. Mornings when you're not, put it in a glass airtight container in the fridge and drink it when you feel like it. Either way will be great for you if you're body wnats it.

Congratulations on getting to here!

Cheers

Thank you both for your quick replies! I've joined Natalia's new detox community (worth it for the little audios she's doing) but I find the site navigation a bit awkward. Or maybe I'm just used to sites like this one. Anyway, I am a big believer in "intuitive eating." I won't push things. A time might arrive when my body is not ready for the green lemonade so early in the morning. Until then, I guess I'll just keep enjoying it.

No problems. Don't force or rush anything. Just do as you need and you will continue to make wonderful progress as you desire it.

im confused. matt monarch swears by regular colonic hydrotherapy. its his no.1 raw tip, didn't think it could be dangerous but now it kind of makes sense. enemas seem much more natural in comparison.

I've heard great, great things about Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, CA. I know that isn't really in the Los Angeles area, but it's still in CA and I believe they provide students the option to stay in their 'Living Light Inn'....

The way I see it is that generally people who label themselves are confident of the path they have chosen while, also generally, people don't don't label aren't quite as sure if what they're following is the right way to go.

things that have actually worked for me: Valerian root for tea - very calming... Lemon juice, sliced lemon peel, lemon grass or lemon verbina, raw honey, star anise (optional), maybe some ginger, hot water (let it all infuse together for a while) ...
