Cayenne - since being raw, I have been craving spiciness in my foods.
cacao - purer form of chocolate and because its chocolate (;
maca - I like putting it in juices or drinking with water, i feel good drinking it before a workout.
In my most recent blog entry, I write about my faves...a VERY LONG list! Excellent Superfoods (from Rawbecca).
:-)
Oh yeah! I am experimenting also with He Shou Wu (Fo-Ti), Shazzie talks about it in her new YouTube video series, Superfoods are for real!
It's a 4 part series of videos, here is the first of her series:
Go Shazzie!
Great question, and a bit of a challenge for me to answer, since I love so many of them. I'm completely addicted to nutrient powerhouse foods, as it's reconstructed my entire experience of health and consciousness. Living mostly on superfood smoothies is highly recommended for adventurers ;)
You have no idea how many nutrient buckets, neural channels, powers of amplified intuition, psychic powers/empathy/knowing you're actually capable of until you actually experience turning new ones on, one by one. If nutrient deficiencies are one of the real reasons people supposedly only use 5% of their brain capacity, imagine using 100% and how different your world would be?
On this note, some of my favorite superfoods are:
- Raw Cacao (fully fermented, immaculate quality, with minimal shell debris)
- Maca (raw, harvested at peak ripeness)
- Spirulina
- Guarana (raw and cold-processed)
- Hemp seeds (cold-stored)
- Tomato concentrate (dehydrated juice of wildharvested fully-ripe tomatoes from pristine soils... VERY different than your average store-bought tomato)
- Vanilla
- Bee Pollen
- Seaweeds (especially whole Dulse and Nori sheets)
- Tocotrienols (yum!!)
- Camu camu
Hi Courtney I agree with everything your saying. Im a superfood junkie. I live on Superfoods, salads and smoothies.
Its hard to pick a favorite/ One food though which may not technicallly be a superfood to most is Quinoa.
As an athlete I am only 80% raw. I cook Quinoa in a rice cooker with coconut oil, turmeric, parsley and oregano. Then I add sea salt and organic olive oil. I have that like 3 or 4 days a week.
I also love
Hemp Seeds
Maca
Chlorella
Sun is everything Superfood by David Wolfe (Sea and land vegetables, probitocs, enzymes and grasses)
Coconut Oil
All Greens
Bee Pollen
Goji Berries
Wheat Grass (used to grow it now I just go to smoothie places)
Seeds and nuts grinded and added to smoothies
A new one I just found out about similar to Chia seeds called salba
Dulse
Wakama
wow, i am soooo glad to see that i am not the only one who loves superfoods that much. after years of eating disorders, depression and endless hunger (even as a raw foodist), i am now setting myself free by using superfoods. which is also a great thing in my life because i am working on my diploma. my faves at the moment are:
cacao, of course ;-)
mesquite, because i cannot consume maca regularly
coconut oil
wheatgrasspowder
and i am really looking forward to try gojiberries, anyone experienced with that?
Actually I forgot to put organic cacao powder as one of my favorites also. I also like isagenix powders and mineral drink called ionix supreme because of the added enzymes, all the berry extracts, superfood extracts, etc. I like it for traveling especially and also the isacalcium product which has calcium, magnesium and vitamin D all together which I like to make sure I get daily to stay alkaline. Also being a vegetarian and not taking in milk products except for an occasional slice of pizza you get sick of people saying How do you get proein How do you get calcium. Like meat and milk are the only foods on the planet that have it. My experience is many people truly do believe that.
I just tried a new superfood that I am LOVING. "Miracle Reds" (made by macro life naturals inc.) It's a fruit based superfood (not so green), but I love it. So if I combine it with one of my favorite green superfood powders (pure synergy, greener grasses, etc), and mix with water and a touch of agave....BOY what an AMAZING beverage!
Favorite? probably coconut oil because it's the only oil that doesn't slow down my circulation. Cacao butter does and I prefer the taste of coconut oil.
just getting into all the u.s shows that i never got into

The opposite is NOT true (lesbian women loving men...), so is there something wrong with men?

Hello everybody who commented on my post about 100% raw organic California Almonds. Some of you have been misled by bad information. A grower of California almonds has an exemption to sell UNTREATED, NON PASTEURIZED almonds at either Farmer's Mark...
