Give it to me Raw

I was wondering what people are doing with their left overs after sprouting?

I have currently two systems started. One inside, in the basement using a vermicompost system. Basically a large container with red wiggler worms, some compost starter and waste paper that I brought home from work. In that go all my veggy waste and some fruit, but NOT banana peels, pineapple, or citrus all of which tend to attract fruit flies. Those items go to the outdoor bin which I just set up the other day. It looks like its going to work out well. Eventually I'll have enough compost to recycle back into all the sprouting I'm doing now and hopefully won't need to purchase organic potting soil.

Now I know what came first. The sprout, of course! ;-)

I compost all the leftover sprout roots from my sprouts and wheatgrass grown in soil. It takes about 3 months and the soil that had roots in it becomes dark rich soil ready to replant. I have a big compost and bought organic soil for awhile but now I have a stock of recycled compost that serves my growing, which is about 30 1'x2' trays all the time.

Your worm castings will be a great additive for your sprouting soil, those systems are great.
