Hi all,

I am not very familiar with Sanatana Dharma, but I am glad to have been invited to the group. Perhaps I can learn from all of you!

Hey amanda,

I just wrote out this explanation for RawTastic, so I'm gonna pass it on to you, and anyone else whose interested, too.

Santana Dharma, in Sanskrit, basically just means the Eternal Truth. To say that you follow Santana Dharma (pronounced as Sanatan Dharm), means that you believe in the existence of one universal, unfailing truth that is the cause of all causes, and the force behind all movement. It doesn't not mean that you believe that there exists one singular path to this truth. A follower of Sanatana Dharma would say that though one goal exists, a different path exists for each individual person to get to that truth. So a follower of Krishna, Shiva, Buddha, Jesus, Mohammad, Mahavira, Zoraoster, etc. could be a follower of Sanatana Dharma.

Hope this helps!

Satsang
Gathering for Truth

Satsang is a Sanskrit word combining "satya" meaning "truth" and "sangha" meaning "group." It describes a gathering of people for the purpose of spiritual truth. Satsang is often used when referring to a meeting with a guru or a spiritual mentor. During Satsang, participants read inspiring words, discuss its teachings, meditate, and find ways to bring this awareness into daily life.

Thought this applied to our lil group here!
Om Shanti

satsanga also means sat being truth and sangha also meaning group but more deep it means attachment ....
attached to the truth and this attachment is good...
meaning that sangaha this group is so close tomy heart i m always connected...
sat sang does not deeply mean being associated or in proximaty to oneanother but rather deeply attached by the heart ...

I'm into local & craft beers. So I normally throw a few back on the weekends. I don't go crazy & try to get drunk. I actually like the taste & the functional buzz I get from it. Drugs do not interest me neither does smoking, so never tried it.
