Just curious... i was 'sick' with a 'cold/flu' (laugh~ gotta love those air quotes that not quite everyone understands) about a week & a half ago & decided to do my body right & had been juicing, doing fiber shakes, & eating mainly fruit & green smoothies ... until two days ago, when i just had to eat... everything! at the natural food store where i work. (well, nothing too incredibly crazy i suppose~ dolmas, rice crackers, soup, some vegan cookies... laugh) a dear friend reminded me that what's even more important than the food we put into our bodies is how we feel about what we put into our bodies, so i'm working on compassion & forgiveness & am just wondering what y'all do to nurture yourselves in such situations & what steps you take to minimize backsliding/maximize peace! (making sure to eat enough to prevent overeating on less-than-ideal foods, visualization, primal scream therapy, etc :) )
It must be very hard to work around food all day. I don't know how you do it! I work in a junk food office. Everyday someone brings in junk food, chips, cookies, chocolate bars it goes on & on. I remind myself how great & alive I feel and how they will feel like crap later. If I want to treat myself for being good I head out on my break to a RAW Food Restaurant which is only 10 min walk & buy a chocolate treat & or cheescake. I don't think I could work in a store surrounded by temptation. Maybe keep a treat for yourself & indulge as needed.
I find that after I eat not so great food, I balance that with more healthy food & try not to beat myself up about it. I'm not 80% raw yet, which is my goal. For me the challenge is maintaining this delicate balance while I'm living with ppl who don't eat raw or support it. It will be easier for me in the near future when I move out of the house I'm currently in.
I just watched the renegade health show with kevin G. in this episode he was at some farm somewhere and he spoke about the gradual accent so that when you do fall down a notch your not falling off the ladder. also, mentally creating a think as a raw foodie thinks mentality. if this doesnt make a lot of sense he puts it well in his video.
There aren't any raw police. . So don't beat yourself up about it and get on with your life. The past is history the future's a mystery and the present is a gift.
Yes, at the end of a candling session, I always suggest the person open his/her own candle to discover any gold treasure. I can definitely tell ear wax fro candle wax . If you use a good grade candle candle, all of the candle gets burned in the pr...
