you are all rawesome people. I'm in transition mode myself. I am aware that the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train. I want to join this light and am advancing towards it. Now in my life I do not have the pieces in place to go all raw. Everyday I get closer and seeing other people living it inspires me to go the distance.

Change is always great, transition is change. What an adventure we have as human beings. ;)

Last summer I was high raw like 70/30. My garden was kicking out tomatoes, kale, and peppers like crazy. I bicycle commute and weather-wise riding days were favorable. Winters here in Chicagoland are something fierce. Right now I haven't been too amped about getting on my bicycle to grocery shop. Now I catch a ride to the supermarket when somebody else is going. I definitely add McDougall soup, Sunshine burgers, frozen vegetables etc. to my grocery list. Out of simplicity and the fact It warms me up.

I'm in my second month raw. I just picked up Natalia Rose's book, The Raw Food Detox Diet and am loving it! The food combo makes a lot of sense. I've lost a few pounds but it wasn't happening as easily as I would have liked and I think this may kick start it. I broke out my spiralizer for the first time tonight and had raw zucchini pasta with pesto and flax crackers. Raw chocolate ice cream for dessert after I get the kids in bed. Mama's treat!

I know i have posted a few things about the lack of losing weight but I am still a little frustrated. I really have not lost all the much weight and i am honestly like 98-99% raw on a daily basis fro almost 2 months now. I am in love with eating raw and really have only had a few cravings so far. It seems that other people that are not even as raw as me for lack of a better term are losing or have lost way more lbs than me so i keep wondering if i am doing something wrong??? Could i be getting too much oil on my salads? anyone experiencing anything similar or can help me out here???? thanks ;-)

Check out Natalia Rose's books, aja8505. I've never really been aware of food combining, but she explains it easily. Never combine the four food groups: starch, flesh, fresh fruits and nuts/seeds/dried fruits. Always eat fruits alone and wait 30 minutes before eating something else (45 for bananas). Avocados are a fruit but combine as starch. Wait 3-4 hours before switching groups. Raw veggies combine with everything.
Also, dry brush! It's good for your skin but also helps you release weight through your skin.
I hope this helps! I lost 2 pounds my first day - yesterday - so I will let you know if it keeps working for me. I'm 38 with 2 little kids so my body doesn't release weight easily.

Jennifer great advice!

Can you share what you eat for a normal day with us. Please also list how many times you are eating a day as well. With this information we can target in on the problem quite fast.
Gracias,
Burke Bryant

The best thing to do is drink green juices. Juice 2 lbs of greens per day. You are working from an old paradigm of health. Doing protein drinks doesn't help anyone. From your description you are not eating greens at all. You need to eat greens to ...

In the first stage, the diet is restricted to veggies, protein, and just a few grains (eaten in very small portions). Fermented foods and sea veggies are very integral to this diet, so it sounds like you might really like the diet. Nothing sweet ...
