I'm pregnant but have fallen off the raw wagon! Ugh! Hopefully I'll start getting on the right track. :)

Rosie I sometimes have fallen of the wagon myself but I try to make sure its the healthiest falling off it can be like steamed veggies. Just stay on track. If you fall off always get back on.

Great news. I wish you the best. I'm not all raw and the vegan transition started at about 14-15 weeks (I'm now 21 weeks). Raw is added a bit more every day. I think I'm scared of detox while pregnant! :)

Just wondering who is or has gone through a raw pregnancy (or high raw). I'm now 23 weeks along. I'm starting to get more tired than usual and really foggy brained. I'm thinking kicking up the raw each day can help with this. I haven't made any effort to be all raw while pregnant. I'm scared of detox and a currently settled eating disorder. Also, I have such intense cravings for lentils, brown rice and tofu (I won't give those up).

Congrats everyone. I have a question about raw pregnancy. Is it safe to go raw from sad in the first few weeks of pregnancy and be high raw through the whole nine months? Or would the detox process hurt the fetus? Thanks.

I worry about the same thing and I'm 25 weeks pregnant. I've increased my raw to at least 50-90% a day. And what is not raw is vegan. (with some exceptions for iron but I won't get into that now)

I know that I must keep brown rice, sprouted breads and some soy products in my diet. Sometimes I even have some smoked fish. But I still consider it to be a great diet.

Listen to your body (but I recommend trying for the healthiest alternative of what you're hungry for).

Hi all! SO excited to be here! I'm now 14w 5 days with my first- parter and I are VERY excited!! Unfortunately I fell off the raw bandwagon during the first 12 weeks (the morning sickness was bad for me, and all I could keep down for a time was bread), but now I'm feeling a whole lot better and hope to keep myself at 80% raw or so for the remainder of the pregnancy. Was just on Jinjee's site for inspiration. How is everyone else feeling? :)

Welcome. I'm feeling pretty good. Eating soooo much raw now. I think it's pretty common to want crackers or bread during morning sickness. But at about 12-13 weeks I was back to vegan and now the raw.

I saw my homeopath today. Started a remedy of sepia for some pre-postpartum type symptoms. I had this with my twins and want to be pro-active. I've pretty sensitive to my body and it's needs and I just felt like it was time for some tweaking. Anyway, I hope the remedy will balance me out for the last trimester.

I feel like I've lost weight in my arms, waist and even in my legs since up'ing the raw. My husband was not happy last night. I've had an eating disorder so he's scared I'm slipping into it. But I'm not. I think I'm just going through a lot of changes and balancing out in so many ways.

I did have some beef today. I've been craving it for about a week (I crave beef maybe once a year!). I'm also craving kale and spinach. So, it's probably iron. Anyway, I decided to have a few bites of it along with a kale salad for lunch. No harm done and I'm glad I allowed myself to explore.

For those who are now pregnant and are eating more cooked food than they would like and not enough raw (what happened to me) then take heart: the minute I gave birth, my body screamed for raw and freshness. Fruit and greens were all I wanted to eat, so don't worry, the raw urge will come back - just keep kind old ladies bearing baked biscuits away in the first month!

Thank you for your positive words everyone. I've been raw for 8 months and it was simply dissappointing to have gone through such a binge! Besides I felt physically awful! Onward we march from here! lol
