Did anyone else watch that series of videos on Sex as Expression of Self In Relationship with Self or with Another? I watched the whole thing and in my opinion it seemed that the presenter was using hyper-dimensional physics and illustrative psychodynamics to come up with a postulate that basically said we all should focus on the concept of an "agreement" with our one and only sexual partner so that we could transcend time and space and everything else that makes us human. Now, I am not dissing the presentation, because I got a lot out of what she had to say in all hour plus of the videos. But did anyone else get the impression that this was a major evangelistic attempt to convince people out of polyamory? I am not sure that 80% of people watching could wrap their minds around what she was trying to communicate. I know many of us work really hard at our relationships and try and figure out what's best for all involved, so did anyone else get anything or find something useful in what she had to say?

I'm very glad that I missed that show. I'm not terribly fond of people who want to ram their form of relationship down my throat. I don't mind telling others about mine and letting them know that I don't understand how theirs could possibly work and I'm cool if they express theirs in the same way. But I don't ram it down their throats and generally try and avoid people who want to do that.

There's been someone in particular we've been talking to almost as long as we've been together, we've never met, but there's been many plans to meet... it is not going to happen anytime soon... we're not closing the door on that person, but it is time to talk to other people. If something happens it will, but how do you encourage something to happen?
