Give it to me Raw

Hey there! I am typically a yogini, but took a few pilates classes while I was at home these past few weeks and wow was I sore afterwards! What a great workout! I can literally feel the intercostal muscles between my ribs, crazy.

So I am incorporating some pilates moves to my yoga routine, the Hundred, the V up, and want to look around for a few more good ones, any thoughts??

Wow, thanks! I will check out the link, yes I really like the stomach series, I think I could really use that core workout! I don't think I have ever heard of "the mermaid" though, what is that? Is that similar to Cobra in yoga?

the mermaid is more for stretching out your sides, its a nice one.
i love the open leg rocker & the seal for massaging the spine.

I didn't feel the mermaid stretched out the sides much. I think it's more for general balance and control.

bizzare, i always get a sweet stretch along the side, as long as i bend properly. ah well :)

I don't because I'm too bendy. I have to go way further, always.

Thanks for that link. I was wanting to get back into pilates as I actually found I was a natural at it (which is a first) because I'm already really strong and have wicked flow and control, but I don't have my dvds because I moved country! =( Though I did bother my mom to send them... I wanted to make a START at least! So thanks so much, though the animation is pretty terrible haha. On some of the pics, it looks like his legs have hands hahaha.
I love all exercises ever, that focus on legs. So the side-kick series was like love for me! The stomach series on the other hand...I have trouble with because although I have more muscle there than anyone I know, I also happen to have mad rolls and they tend to get in the way, haha.

Much love<3

I haven't tried the "mermaid" yet. Sounds fun. I like the "swan". :0) That's fun.

I have to say I like the "open leg rocker", altho' I'm still working on it. I wish I could do the "Teaser" better! I'm working on it though. :0)
