I was disappointed this movie did not have greater commercial success. I saw it. At the time it was competing against Paul Blart Mall Cop and still flopped? WTF? Not to take away from the comedic stylings of Kevin James, whom I like, but the movie had a great plot, deep philosophical underpinings and great cinematography. Well, on second thought, maybe that is why it flopped. Because all of this sci-fi hullabaloo is too abstract/requires a brain. Arghh!!! Moviegoers, this is why movies like Crash get a sequel!!! I wonder if it would've had more success in the summer? Is it just me? Was this film bad?

I thought it was awesome. I didn't want the movie to end. This was supposed to be the comic that couldn't be adapted to the big screen, but they made it work. I think I even liked the ending of this film more than the comic's, which had that fake giant alien demolish New York City.
