Give it to me Raw

Hi guys, just incase anyone is interested thought I'd post this. Someone posted about this tv show on the raw uk yahoo group.

Gail.x.

As follows...

Get ready to be mocked guys and gals - Channel 4 are putting out a programme at 7.30pm on Friday called Health Food Junkies.
In The Daily Mail's Weekend TV guide it is written: "For increasing numbers of people, food is ceasing to be something you eat and becoming, rather an obsession, even a substitute religion. This film introduces us to some of the most extreme food puritans - the 'raw foodists' who regard their narrowly restricted diet of raw foods as the healthiest on the planet. It is certainly one of the least appetising - and some of the 'raw foodists' also follow a regime you don't really want to see on TV...."

Well there you have people - get ready for some tut tutting from your granny and the folk at work on Monday morning!

Is this a repeat then? I've seen that programme - we come across as a bit mental as it's been edited really badly :)

Unless they're making another one?

Oh I dunno? Maybe it has aired before? I haven't seen it..maybe I shouldn't watch it!

you could watch it for the entertainment value? kate magic comes across the best i think but the journalist woman/voice over person is really condescending and biased I thought :)

Yes, it looks like it's the repeat. That silly music didn't help either.

oh yikes..what was the music!? Dunno whether to be intrigued now or put off! lol ;)

I think it's fun to watch if you're raw Gail, it's quite unusual to see something of this nature on the TV. It's nice to see Kate and Suki.

I would watch it again too - I've seen it a couple of times cos it's on youtube too.

I recommended all my friends and family watched it before I knew what it was going to be about - oh that was a fun few days after :)

lol! ok I'll watch it but don't think I'll be telling the family! ;) Oh and think I should put my mob off for the first few days after it airs lol !!!

Aw crap, that's not what we need. But forewarned is forearmed so I'll watch it so I can understand what they're saying in case anyone mentions it to me. It's just really unfortunate I'm not exactly a shining beacon of raw health at the moment - I want to be able to prove the benefits by example. Thanks for the heads up!

Lol..I know what you mean to some extent. With losing weight (although I had lost it all since cutting wheat & dairy out anyhow on a cooked diet) and with my eczema flaring up...even though I look, in my opinion, healthier and feel tons healthier!!! I still get negativity from family who are closed minded. Anyhooo, I think for someone who has the health probs that you do, you look b'*ody amazing! ;)

I would encourage you to eat oranges instead Vampi. Whole food is always best. Oranges are a perfect food; lots of sugar, and lots of fiber to slow down the absorption into the blood stream. Take out all the fiber and you've got a blood sugar spik...
