Give it to me Raw

Hello everyone,
I was wondering what others who are raw, find to be the most challenging aspect of being raw. The reason why I'm putting this question to the local group is because there can be similar patterns emerging because of our environment/climate and our application of the diet. Any challenge goes, it could be food cravings, emotional issues, staying warm, mental clarity, energy levels, staying centred, libido or even how being raw affects your work and social life or sports performance.
I'll start with one of my own challenges and that is eating for Winter. I have the same problem each year which is that my dietary habits change to adapt to the new cold and damp winter season. The seasons change gradually and my diet follows suit but the problem occurs when I have to go in and out of hot shops and such places! My body gets mixed messages about what climate I'm actually meant to be in! A cold, damp Scottish winter or a warm tropical one, like what you might find in Marks & Spencers! Just this morning I walked into a supermarket with my usual winter woollies on and left 45 minutes later in a t-shirt! and it was minus 5 degrees this morning! It's the same at the local gym. I regularly meet 220lb+ body-builders complaining that the gym is too cold and they're wrapped up as if for a Siberian Winter and I wander in with shorts and a t-shirt and switch on the fan:) and the look of horror on their faces when I take a cold shower! Who says you need to eat cooked to stay warm? I always felt cold on a cooked diet and used to hug the fire! There is of course a lot more to the internal heat issue than what most people might think. Things like climate, body humours/types, transitional issues, detoxing, types of food we eat, type of heating used to warm our homes, lifestyle etc.
So, fire away with your challenges and lets see where it leads!

Sounds like it does what it says on the tin! I have put it in my Amazon basket and will order it soon. I look forward to having a flushed liver and gallbladder! Cheers Bob.

Larabars are 100% raw (well, most of them) and they're really good. Think Organic bars are raw and organic. You'll get twice the Larabar for less money, but they're both really good.

Please share your easy desserts. I've finally gone 100% raw, but I'm having a hard time staying way from candy... (I haven't caved yet) I'm looking for desserts that don't need nuts as I'd like to eat them after dinner. Thanks!
