"When you follow a healthy eating regimen, a diet that is rich in nutrition, coupled with a healthy lifestyle, you can prevent many diseases, or even reverse a condition."

Do you know of specific raw examples (not suggestions) and treatments that have successfully supported the wellness of individuals living with HIV?
i am also interested if there is any more info on persons living with HIV and on raw vegan diet. i found out i was hiv positive almost 2 years ago and have since been trying to eat raw to document the results.
Thank you for your post, at last someone with courage-it's refreshing!
I have been living with someone with HIV for over 6 years now and have found that trying to get information about 'alternative' raw health styles and HIV is really difficult. There seems to be a great deal documented about the success with raw living foods and other conditions, which is great; and although one could assume that the same principles would apply, I'm reluctant to do so, because it is literally playing with someone's life.
We've just been researching and cross-referencing information as much as we can. However be very careful and have regular checks, my partner got pcp and nearly died earlier this year. Don't mean to a scare-monger, I recognise that everyone's experience is different. It was a very frightening time.
There was no-one at the clinic to lend support to the healthier we were trying to achieve. The hospital nutritionist knew virtually nothing outside of her orthodox training and there seems to still be a great stigma attached to even acknowledging this area, even in raw food circles.
I spoke to a well known Raw Food advocator and MD after one of his talks and he said that he believed that 2years minimum, 100% raw, with plenty of green juicing etc would be his starting approach.
There have been many lifestyle challenges that make this regime very difficult to achieve. My partner has a full-time, demanding job, as do I etc etc
Thank you. There are so many 'AIDS' theories out there which is great when you want to try to understand what dominates current practice in terms of resources and orthodox treatments. Exploring the many different view points can provide useful scientific/medical information.
"Nobody knows for sure exactly what causes HIV. Researchers certainly know how the virus is made up and how it attacks the body - but where it actually came from is a medical mystery.
That’s not to say there haven’t been many theories. HIV has sparked controversy and heated debate worldwide. Can we point the finger at monkeys, the polio vaccine or even a genetically engineered virus used by the CIA? Who knows?
Some of the theories are very plausible. The majority of the medical profession believes the virus was a direct descendent of the simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV). Simian means monkey.
...At the end of the day, it’s all speculation. Nobody really knows how and why the virus entered our society. Doctors have known about it since 1981 when people with symptoms first started emerging but it’s likely that it was around for at least 20 years before that.
The great tragedy is that this failure to determine the root cause of HIV is a seemingly insurmountable obstacle to finding either a cure or a vaccine."
Regardless of the many of the opinions, theories and even the research etc. the practicalities of living with the condition and remaining healthy and choosing to stay away from toxic medications can be extremely challenging.
Getting to a point positive attitude is easier for some than others and is indeed an important part of the staying well process. However some people receive the news of an hiv diagnosis (wrongly or not) as a 'death sentence' and are faced with traveling with through a process towards a more positive state of mind (if they can indeed get there) that can inform their health style choices. This process can also involve grief, extreme isolation and spiritual challenge.
Trying (and it is trying) out nutritional health methods for hiv sufferers (in conjunction with other mind body complimentarys) outside the mainstream, is still an area that needs to be developed in the raw food community. I am looking forward to a time when there is definitive spiritual/scientific/raw approaches to managing and reversing this condition.
In the meantime, if you are aware of any studies, please add to these discussions.
I can imagine living with this 'diagnosis' can be very tough in so many ways that it may have detrimental affect on motivation etc.
However, personally I do not subscribe to any of the theories given above. I simply do not believe in the relation between what is being called aids and the 'hiv'-virus. In fact I do find good reasons to question even the existance of the so called hiv-virus and even more strongly the hypothesis that there is any correlation what so ever between this supposed virus and the development of Aids.
There's alot of financial and political interests invested in this myth though so the perpetuation of the mainstream propaganda in these things is pretty strong, especially since there's so much fear-mongering and fear involved in this issue.
Pretty interesting. It was hard to tell what he was for and against though, haha. I would hope to be in as good condition as him when I'm 91..... or better :j
I guess if you think of it as eating raw as what God intended, and makes us the purest version physically of what were meant to be, then maybe it is a way to get closer to God and clear away the distracting mess of sickness, and the hormone and em...
Here is Part 4 to the Stanley Bass interview. Many people have asked me what I think about this interview, I will be posting a video reply in my next episode after this one.
The sun (or bright snow, bright sky, light bulbs, etc.) totally make me sneeze. It seems to be genetic- my dad does it too. It's called "Photic Sneeze Reflex":
