hey,
tomorrow i will start my job as a babysitter for a vegan family. the mother is very open to raw food. i want to make some yummy recipes with the kids. the recipes should be natural as possible like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HidehB5uyQ&feature=channel (what does he use for cheese? yeast flakes? are they raw?) or much more. at their home there is no blender, dehydrator and so on, so i need very simple recipes. have anybody a good recipe or a link where to find?

the above link is to a site with simple recipes with no dehydrator - she uses a food processor quite a bit but most can be adapted to chopping and grating. Hope this helps, good luck with the babysitting.

To get back into the groove, I am challenging myself to 30 days. Today is day one, and so far so good! Also It seems I am spending less on raw food than I would otherwise, but I am keeping it very simple. What do you guys think about luna bars?? I bought a few chocolate luna bars that are 90% raw, just in case of an emergency craving.

Hi Banana Bear, I don't know luna bars, but I think the most important thing is your own reaction to foods like that - if you know that one bar will satisfy your craving then its probably fine and even maybe a beneficial thing - stopping you from eating worse stuff - BUT, if you're like me - I know if i eat something like that its sets off a chain of cravings for all sorts of stuff and then I am bound to fail!

good luck

I gotta agree with Vicky...if you can handle the bars w/o falling off the produce truck, then on occasion is fine...you are in transition, remember?...i think people get so fanatical about all this (as was my case when i first began) and don't just try to be human...important thing is to THINK BEFORE U EAT anything and know what the effect it will have on you if u do make that choice... if u have major health issues, then the story is different!!...blessings

Thank you, I just realized I said luna bars but they are larabars.
As of right now, I don't need them, but wanted something on hand for my mom sometimes brings chocolate and treats into the house (which she did today) but I made a very delicious smoothie & she put the chocolate down to try the smoothie, which she also tried to take away from me!
thanks for the advice ladies :D

Hello!
I'm totally new to RAW! I have been veggie on and off for about 20 years. My family are meat-eaters though so it's a bit of a struggle. I've never quite managed to stay vegan for any length of time, but I've been considering RAW for years! I'm not sure whether I will just be able to go "cold turkey" or drop cooked food bit by bit? But I've spent a ton on recipe books and ordered loads of cool raw stuff so I'm really quite excited now!

In NYC, petite models are pretty hard to book, because there are so few! I know one, Miss Asian America and she's constantly busy doing commercials! Shorties are goodies lol

Oh my word. was it a specific denomination? I am a Christian but I never experienced anything quite like that. How did it make you feel about God?

Unfortunately, my dogs were microchipped before I got them. I haven't decided what to do about it yet. Really don't want them to have surgery to take them out.
