I am successfully all raw in Alaska. It has been a bit of a bumpy ride to get here, and I would love to share what I've learned.

We are a vegan family who moved from urban Los Angeles to the sticks of Michigan. We have a three year old daughter and are 10 weeks pregnant with our second child. We have an organic garden and belong to an organic (not certified) CSA. We had a midwife for our first birth and have a great midwife for our second birth.
I do 95% of the food preparing/cooking and since moving to rural Michigan it has been a challenge maintaining our dietary choice. We hardly and I mean hardly ever eat out and when we travel half of our bags are filled with food.
There are a couple of things that this community could help us with:
1. An internet source for raw organic nuts that don’t cost a bazillion dollars.
2. Any advice about raw food storage and sprouting
3. Any advice about cold weather gardening and any other information that you found useful staying raw.

Throwing out a question, deep breathing...how do you do it? I sing to Josh Groban, Andrea Boccelli, Sara Brightman...those long notes can be killers! LOL! I also work on my posture, since it helps w/ the singing!

- I guess, where ever you are, if you are ready for a raw food lifestyle, you are ready for it (even though it may be easier to adjust to it in a warmer climate :)

It is great to see that there are so many raw fans enjoying the cold. I currently live in Kentucky but grew up in New Jersey. How I miss snow days!

- Hey, Whitney, I grew up in Kentucky and while it might not compare to New Jersey, it can get pretty cold in the winter! My winters in Kentucky were MUCH colder and snowier than my winters now here in Idaho.

thanks! I didn't know that. I grow mungs, but they never get past the 3/4" stage. I'm going to experiment with growing them as you do.....sounds like a great variation!
What does the diet consist of? And strict in what ways?

Here is another video where a scientist talks about his work sampling ice cores that shows elevated levels of cosmic dust in the polar ice caps. Iridium and gold is at a lot higher in the cores.

I should clarify. I am not vegan, and I eat a very, very, very strict diet (The Body Ecology Diet). If I don't follow this diet, I don't stay this skinny--or healthy. I went on this diet for health reasons; it's the only diet that has really helpe...
Ashwagandha, Gingko, Gotu Kola, Muira Puama, Maca, Reishi, Cordyceps.
Coconut water with honey, cacao, ashwaganda, reishi, gingko, mint, coconut oil and lecithin .

What better fuel is there than the pure, living energy we get from raw food? This group is for those that use that fuel to feed their passion for fitness. Lets all inspire each other.
For people who enjoy raw food and love to dance. All dancers welcome, from experienced students to those who privately shake their groove thang.
Oh I didn't know they made nut butter out of it. The Hunza people eat them a lot don't they, and they seem to be doing pretty well on it I believe ;)
