I had a wonderful experience couchsurfing with people I found on this site two summers ago. I vacationed the Pacific Northwest and stayed with people in Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver. The insight into the area that was shared through my hosts experience and passion for living where they do, and making a raw meal for them in exchange for their hospitality was so rewarding.
But it could be even cooler to stay with a fellow rawfoodie who will understand why I'm lugging my vitamix and a whole bunch of staple basics around in my trunk!
My boyfriend and I like to visit San Francisco a few times a year, as well as the occasional trip to Portland. I have plans on visiting back east sometime in the next two years, as well as going to Vancouver for the 2010 winter olympics.. and who knows what other travel plans will pop up for me.
I am not often able to host, but there are exceptions so please contact me if you want to visit Humboldt County. If I'm not able to host I would still love to show you the beauty of this area (and it's not all just the outdoors, we have an amazing arts community and outdoor raves in the summer!). We even have a yummy local raw food cafe!

This year has been the worst mango season I've ever seen :( Honey mangos were sad with light colored flesh that held little flavor...Kent mangos...don't even make me go there.
