John,

I think this is a fantastic idea. I plan on one day having land with many structures on it to welcome guests who want to have a retreat and also learn about the raw foods lifestyle.

I won't be very active in this discussion in the beginning, however, because in order to bring my dream to reality I'm making some major changes in my life. We are selling off just about everything we own, listing our home (it goes up for sale in two weeks, I think), and then working our way from PA to CA in an RV (and spreading news about raw along our journey). Once in Northern CA, we'll see what falls into place for us and the land. It will all depend on how much we can make with the sale of our home and possessions. If we don't make enough, we'll simply start over and begin saving again. ;-)

Anyway, the idea of having a collective sounds refreshing to me. It would be great to link together all similar raw lifestyle places! I look forward to checking in from time to time and sharing as I can.

I want people to share their visions.

My idea is to create a small community of like minded people, this could be on shared land or just people living nearby each other.

I think a large house with some land in a rural location but close to a populous area would be ideal. I think between London and Brighton in the UK would be great for example. We have to accomodate for a broad spectrum of people lifestyles. Some people will be working, I work in The City of London for now, but want to set up my own business. Others could work onsite.

We could have yurts on the land for people to live temporarily, and also to set up therapy centres for those that do yoga, massage and such as their business.

We could offer home schooling, and childrens activities. Places to stay for guests.

All I think we need are a few like minded individuals who are prepared to commit themselves financially for a few years and have the income.

Today I am thinking that if the time spent debating what we should eat, and the money that was spent on "superfoods" and other gimmicks, were spent on collective action, we would be a lot better off for it.

I'd love to help out with this idea where i can as one day i'm planning on creating a raw self sustained ecocommunity of healers, musicians, gardenerss, some monks and some just generally fun people so as people can come to us for free and have all of their health and life issues addressed for as long as they need.

However for now i'm studying in london and cant really commit and money, but if there is any other way i can be of assistance i'd love to help

It seems like everyone wants the same thing. All my close friends and everyone I speak to that is on a conscious and healing path wants something similar. People want to live off the land, live in a high vibrational community, be self sustainable, raise consciousness, eat the best foods ever, etc.....
We've talked about our dream so many times, but the question is how to make it become reality. Time is speeding up and the world is on the brink of disaster, so I feel like we need to make it happen somehow.... it takes a lot of commitment and organization. I would love to have pods all around the world with like minded people wanting to create a global web of community for everyone to benefit from.
I recently moved to Egypt from San Francisco and would like to set up a base here, it's a beautiful country with breathtaking scenery and so much to see. Just out of curiosity, would anyone be interested, if it did exist, to come to retreats here and explore the land of the ancient. I think it would be a super exciting and adventurous journey.
Let me know what you think...would love some feedback...it's all about collective action....
