Hello... This is a fantastic group! The combination of a consistent Bikram yoga practice and raw food lifestyle opened up the doors for me to feel ALIVE! My passion for Bikram yoga led me to LA for teacher-training and today I teach full time. The Bikram yoga / raw food package empowers me to live my truth, continuously peel layers, and deepen my spiritual experience. Thank you everyone for all your contributions to this amazing community... it ties my package together!
WIth love, Aimee Follette

I did my first Bikram class last week and doing another tonight. I'm so glad I liked it. I've been high raw for 3 months now and I think that really helped because I managed the class quite easily (even with quite low blood pressure). I thought I would panic in the heat and feel sick and light headed but felt none of that. I'd love to know if there are any raw fooders doing Bikram in Wellington, New Zealand, if so would love to meet you, Amanda

I go to Hot Yoga in Wellington. They have one class that is pretty much the same as bikram but also do vinyasa and yin classes in the hot room. I love it, it took me a while to get used to it. I have to make sure I am really hydrated if I am going to do the bikram style or vinyasa class or I will get a headache. I did go to a regular Bikram studio before I was raw and had a couple of classes that I was really sick after. I haven't had that since going raw.

Raw food definitely eases out the class. I have been back on raw the past couple of months with little crashes in between. I suppose I can say I'm about 80% raw. When I attended one class during my 'off days', I was literally nauseating.

I completed a 30-Day Bikram challenge upon my first day of Bikram without being on raw 3-4 months ago and learned to ease the class by simply emptying the mind. Now, on raw, the class felt like a piece of cake and I even let my mind wander throughout the whole class!! In a good way, I get a lot of ideas and solving problems. On the bad side, I wander too much and end up staying in positions longer than I should have.

Hey Dominiq, I am about to do the 30 day challenge myself. I think after my visitors leave, around Memorial Day, I will start. I used to manage a Bikram studio in Union Sq., NYC, but I haven't done it in a few years now. Just worried about that first class back into it. Hope I don't get too nauseous. :))

I just had to join this group. I did a bit of raw over the years and a bit of bikram and i loved both. Lack of consistency and a wall of resistence interupted both and yet i feel so drawn to this combo. Maybe you'll inspire me. I have little history of exercise or healthy eating yet i can hear 'that' voice calling me...
