Give it to me Raw

Hey Everyone,

Just wondering what styles everyone was performing, learning or dancing around their living room with? Also how long have you been dancing and what got you into belly dancing?

Hi there!

My name is Stefanie and I am a professional dancer/instructor. I am just making my transition to RAW and my husband and I are LOVING IT!

I teach my own format of DFTS and am also certified with Kajira/and am a member of Black Sheep Belly Dance. My DFTS format is a mix of American Caberet and Turkish influence. I live her in Port Washington, WI, and moved from Alaska about 3 years ago.

I am really glad to find this group!

Happy Shimmies!

Hello! I am very new to belly dance...in a way. I started doing veena and neena workouts in high school, and later put the belly dancing down for a spell, but the bug never left me! I've always loved it. I recently made a friend that has practiced for sometime and we danced together. It just reawakened my love for bellydancing. I've been doing the veena and neena videos again for a reintroduction to the basics of egyptian, (and a fun workout!) but I am in LOVE with Ansuya, and i would like to learn some Turkish belly dance. I plan on doing Jillina's basic video soon and in the summer I want to take some formal classes.

Peace and love to all!

Hi El-bo, You're absolutely right; sodium is not the problem, but sodium chloride, and inorganic mineral salt which always causes water retention and raises blood pressure. We don't need any of that.
