I recently came across MyChelle Dermaceuticals while in the healthfood store. The products are plant based and cruelty free. And part of the line is specifically for oily/acne prone skin.
I'm ready to begin using a natural facial cleanser and moisturizer but I have very oily skin and I am prone to blackheads. I spent a lot of money and time going to my dermatologist after giving birth to my son because the hormones made my skin horrible!
I finally once again have a blemish free complexion but I want the raw "glow". I'm just a little afraid to throw away my prescribed products because I just started to love how I look with out makeup again. Any suggestions?
When I went raw my skin cleared up. I am sure yours will too. One of the best things for glowing skin is Green Smoohties. They strengthen the whole body.
I've been doing green smoothie every morning but I also continue to use my prescribed skin products, so I'm not sure if my clear complexion is a result of the smoothies or the continued use of my skin treatment.
And as I mentioned above, it is so nice to not have to wear make-up. I love how my complexion looks again and I want to find a really good natural line before I just take a leap of faith.
I did a 30 day juice fast that ended in December and then I went completely raw. It’s been a really great experience since making the transition from being a cooked vegan. So much so that I'm ready to use natural products externally as well but I am a little nervous when it comes to my skin.
That's a great suggestion. It would be best to make this a gradual transition as oppose to a drastic change. I think I'll start with replacing my cleanser first and then take it from there.
By the way, has any tried facial brushing. I recently bought a dry skin body brush and noticed their was also a smaller brush specifically for the face. It supposed to be a great way to clear pores and exfoliate. Has anyone tried this before?
The clarisonic is amazing, shiv. I LOVE LOVE LOVE mine. We started carrying them at the spa I work in so I was able to buy one at a discount. Prepare yourself to be amazed....
i have used the pumpkin peel before and i really like it. it works great! it burns but thats how it works. i havent tried anything else in the line because i only can find it online but i bet the other products are great too.
I agree with krose! The clarisonic is the way to go! I had problem skin for a while when I first went vegan, I think it was from all the soy products I was eating, but then I started using that sucker and my face looks wonderful! Plus I use Arcona products. They're pricey but they are all natural and RAW! They're cold processed so you get all the enzymes and amino acids and antioxidants that your skin needs! I have oily skin as well and this stuff seems to keep it under control.
yup i agree Loren, however i chew my smoothies really well and eat them really slowly....

Yeah, never much thought at the time though as it was late at night and had been about 40 degrees here. Oh well. I am so familiar with the way the Engish and Irish talk that I just assume everyone is the same with the kiwis and Aussies.

RGG,
the belly-centered symptoms that most people (mistakenly) call hunger usually pass within 2-3 days. Your body is not hungry while fasting because it gets all of its needs met from its own reserves.
Weeds, Outrageous Fortune (great kiwi comedy) Kath and kim (aussie) the office (UK) United states of Tara. There are alot really when I think about it. There are alot of great tv writers out there now but I am not into reality tv shows.

Another way to think about this is that "frugivore" is a word used by scientists to describe any animal that eats a fruit-based diet (including virtually all of the anthropoid primates). "Frugivore" has an accepted scientific definition. "Fruitari...
Hi Priyam and RGG,
Even blending them is a big step down in quality from eating them whole, for a number of reasons. The pre-chewing argument -- often heard -- doesn't really carry much weight as the benefit of chewing in the mouth is that any re...
Try this. I found out about it when I worked at Jubbs longevity. There is absolutely no aftertaste and a bottle lasts forever. I've been using it for years. Lucky Vitamin has amazing prices on many things too.
