Hi all. Breakfasts - content and timings. Can I ask what works for you guys?
Because I've been running more recently, I feel I need a good breakfast that sets me up for that and the rest of the day. I have been trying different ones for while - a week or two at a time - none seem to particularly satisfy.
My own situation is - I'm usually up about 5:30am and out about 6:30-7, to start work 8-8:30. I run at around 12.
I don't feel hungry until about 9, but often eat 1st thing as I feel I should have something before leaving the house. Fruit leaves me bloated then, smoothies leave me hungry later. Salads and vegetables have been better, but are not hugely appetising first thing. I can't really take time out once I'm at work to eat, unless it's something 'at the desk' - and don't want to eat a couple of hours before running anyway. And having nothing has left me hungry and lacking energy.
I often feel like I'm still digesting, first thing in the morning.
Has anyone got any tips of things to try, or has been through something similar?
