where are we all from? what raw resources do you know about?
i'm in southwestern ohio, in cincinnati. there's a cute little green general store on the corner of vine and central parkway in over-the-rhine that sells raw treats, but it's rather pricey. findlay market is good for cheap produce in the summer.
other than that this is a pretty hardcore meat-and-potatoes kind of town that takes pride in its BBQ and chili.
Hi! I'm in the Cleveland area--Mentor. Nice to meet you all! My local grocery stores are Giant Eagle and Heinen's, which both carry a fair amount of organic produce. There are a couple of Whole Foods about 20 minutes away from me, which is nice.

hello all- im in cleveland- fairview park to be precise. Im about two miles from Natures Bin which is a lot of local/organic produce. Plus they hire a lot of workers with handicaps which is really awesome to support that program.
FYI- web of life on Detroit rd has a raw food dinner every wednesday night starting at 6pm. You get a salad, entree, and dessert for like $9 and its all raw. Their cafe is all vegan with a couple raw options daily. They also have a fresh juice bar and do wheatgrass. Check it out- i love to support them in this.
Hi guys! Been looking all over for you - I'm in Akron/Cleveland (live in Akron). Am interested in starting up some kind of meetup or get a bunch of us on Twitter and have a Tweetup.
Started my raw food journey one month ago with spectacular results. Hanging around like-minded people would be awesome in Akron. I used to live in NYC where there was so much happening there compared to Akron, LOL.
Hi Lee, I agree with you in many ways and would have said an unreserved yes to your statement before I tried raw vegan eating. Maybe it is different for different people, but I have been totally surprised at how much what I eat has been affecting ...
Soaking might help, I really don't know for sure. My father eats soaked dried chestnuts. The dried ones are really hard and they get a little bit softer when soaking them, but they are'nt as sweet soaked.
recently i have come to believe i may (not fully sure) have candida. mainly for the following reasons: after any cooked meal that is high in startches like say risotto the next day my head is so fuzzy and i think it may be even hungover or drunk. ...
This is what my mom recommends too. The thing is I live in a high-rise building in NYC, so I'm definetely not "grounded".
The grounding bed technology makes sense, but it doesn't feel natural to me. Has anyone tried it? Did you notice any changes...

I LOVE this post. you have nailed on the head so many things that I think, about religion, food, dogma, etc.
It's true that so many legalistic people do not realize that what they're doing may come off badly to others; just trying to find what is...
