Sometimes I do a 10am or so to noon time breakfast then a 4pm or so lunch/dinner and that's it... or sometimes I eat three meals, but usually it's two, sometimes I do dinner(between 7-10) or sometimes I don't. Sometimes I don't do breakfast, sometimes I don't do lunch.
Right now I'm eating lots of apples, oranges and avocados... local organic cucumbers were on sale so I got those and tomatoes are never on sale, but they're really important to the way I eat, so I love em. Cooked wise quinoa and coconut milk are my weaknesses. I really like flax, sesame and pumpkin seeds for milk and sprinkling in salads, etc. I do smoothies and blended soups a decent amount, but I don't like to mix fruit w/ veggies, unless it's the non-sweet fruit. I also really like nori, helps me to wrap things up and eat like that. Mango's & papayas are frequent treats and I"m really getting off the nuts, finally... they are treats now, rather than staples, as they were for quite a while, I'm also doing less oils and salt than I ever used to... less spices too, but I love kelp and sometimes I still do some garlic and pepper... these were staples for me for a long time. I eat a lot less and feel more satisfied too.
I used to eat a very high fat diet, lots of greens, and have trouble eating fruit and veggie meals too close together. I also used to eat all the time, like every other second. I was also a salt addict. I prefer fruit a lot more now. Things have changed dramatically. Breakfast is almost always fruit, I try to eat fruit til I can't anymore... if I eat cooked I try to save it till the end of the day.
Yeah, I wasn't an apple eater either, except in cooked pies & such, but now I'm really enjoying golden delicious, granny smith, pink lady and one other kind of red apple I can't remember the name of. Red Delicious is so not appealing to me.
Come on woman! No time like the present! We may now have one more spot for our March 20 to May 22 internship session; this is truly a life-changing program and an amazing bargain...
Thanks Priyam! You are very kind and generous with your appreciation, and I appreciate the specificity. I agree with you completely that fasting is generally very poorly understood, mostly feared, and almost always avoided.
Though someone once su...
Hey Michele! We fast 8-10 people per year for 6 weeks and most of them have amazing experiences. Incidentally, though some people imagine there's a need to "work up" to a long fast like this, many are fasting this long for the first time; in fact,...
We dont want organic pasteurized, that is the same as conventional to us. Its been treated with something to kill it because that it what people do kill beautiful things it seems. Dead people.
Hi Jeff,
Every organism is completely self-healing. When sick or badly injured enough, every species will lie down and rest completely. Fasting itself has no curative power, but when we stop processing food (the single most energy expensive proce...
