Give it to me Raw

I have such problems with fruit. I do really like fruit, but I have problems with high glycemic index foods, and I usually just don't crave fruit except in summer. I have to force myself to want much fruit. I'm all for the non-sweet/semi-sweet fruit, but those are not very available at this time where I am. I'm a big nut/seed lover and I usually eat my fruit with nuts or seeds to cut back on the blood sugar spike I usually get, it's hard for me to not do this, to just eat fruit. I like to eat my food whole, usually my breakfasts are always this way, but blending fruit with nuts into smoothies is just a habit of mine I've had so long. Any suggestions? I know I am just transitioning, but I would like to see myself getting beyond this obstacle. Today I've had an orange and some pecans and water and shivambu. Then I had a cooked veggie soup.

Yeah, guys that's the strange thing is I've done all that!!! I guess I should clarify, it's not like I never want fruit or dislike fruit, but I practically never crave it... it could be the weather, because I certainly craved fruit during the summer and at mostly fruit for days at a time... on some levels I do really love fruit, but its hard for me to not have it unless it's in a smoothie... maybe it's because my choices are limited right now too? It does seem like getting up earlier, doing sadhana and not eating before ten is making it a little better, but I crave savory, vegetable meals, and I feel like I SHOULD crave fruit. Thanks for the suggestions though. I want so badly to fast, but I have a delicate history with this, I know that I have moved so far beyond my issues since hearing about Natural Hygeine and that is a part of the reason I love this so much, but I'm not quite able to do a full day's worth of a fast... I go a really long time though w/o eating. I am working up to being able to fast mid-month though.

Hey, I'm back!!! I went back home and got access to some good fruit and ate mostly apples for a few days, then my hubby got a book and I was inspired to do my first 24 hour fast... I've done two more since. I'm really connecting more the the intuitive nature of eating too and healing my emotional eating habits in astronomical proportions, though they are very deep seeded, so there's much cleansing to do! Thanks Xerxes, I really appreciate your input.

I've always been such a big, all day long eater and snacker and the past month since I've been offline I've curved that so much and felt so much better, so much is in having the information and keeping the thoughts in my mind.
