Thanks Debbie. Glad to see this group forming. I like a lot of the principles of NH, even though I don't follow them strictly.

Hi all. I just started a juice fast today, I'm trying to get rid of my fungal infection. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey guys, I am so excited for this group because I am just getting into this, it makes so much more sense than a lot of what I've read in my 3 + years of on/off raw... it has changed my approach in such a big way in just a couple weeks, really!

I have had to quit my course recently due to extenuating circumstances, but I was training to become a naturopathic nutritionist. Some day I will return :)

Yes, Debbie, that persimmon orchard is in my hood. The owner is currently absentee and the caretaker let us pick for free last year the first week of December. We're trying to get a day to pick again this year. Otherwise, the bulk of them just feed the wildlife, sniff-sniff. We gave them to our yoga group and friends.

Clement, I am prone to fungal infections if I overeat overt fats followed by lots of fruit. In the past I tended to get foot fungus and occasionally ringworm fungus when the weather is warm and I perspire and my feet stay hot and damp in those conditions, plus my ears were always itchy. These are also signs of Candida blooms. I only had one tiny spot this summer/fall and my ears have been clear. I started keeping my fat and fruit meals separated, eating the fruit meals before the fats, except for avocados in my salads and salsas. I also started getting more dark leafy greens into my diet by adding them to my smoothies. The checkout person at the market said to me the other day. "My...aren't we green today!" when she saw all the bags of greens on the belt. I'm pretty happy with the shift.

Debbi thanks for the invitation, I think this group will be soooo interesting.
I wanted to look into this subject more for a while. The basic principles of NH are so common sense it's simply impossible to deny it's truth, I do find some of the extreme views of excluding all kinds of intervention with natural medicines and herbs or other quiet controversial...O.K. my words, narrow minded lol, so I'm hoping to get deeper into this and to gain a lot more understanding....;) I'm sure I'll get a chance to talk about this more in debt on here soon.

we are soooo fortunate to be in the top .0009% of the world of eaters. Why did we get to learn this information and accept it and take action? Why do most others never get this chance? I am a seeker of new info and I strive to keep an open mind to everything I hear. Its ok for me to be Wrong for 34years of my life and start to try new approaches to diet.
Are we all similar in this way?
