Give it to me Raw

It's Saturday, so I knew I had a ton of time today to focus on trying out a feast. I'm not saying this is "Day 1 of X" because I don't want to put that much pressure on myself.

But, this week I finally got all of my essentials-- juicer, skin brush, enema kit, MSM powder, etc. So, this morning, I'm giving it a try, step-by-step as it is outlined on juicefeasting.com.

My first reaction is astonishment-- a whole lot of solid food went into one tiny (8-10 oz) glass... I almost feel guilty about it...does everyone else toss out your pulp?

On a scale of 1-10, I'd rate my first green juice as a 7. It is spinach/celery/2 apples/1 lemon.
I used a whole lemon, and I'm not digging the bitterness the peel adds. Maybe it is an acquired taste? I think the lemon juice itself tastes fab. Just leaves a bitter aftertaste.

Brentney - Last Saturday I started my Day 1 of X. I am totally with you on not putting the pressure on. I just focus on making sure I have a quart of juice ready for my next meal and when I'm drawn back to solid food, I say, "I'll just have this quart of juice and then wait a half hour." This is taken me to Day 8 of X.
Yes, I throw away the pulp. I've actually experimented over the years with using the pulp to make other things without much luckl, except for what's left over from making nut milk, which is not part of a juice feast!
And good luck to you for getting through your first day! - Joy

I don't often juice lemon peels.... maybe just put in a little. I know Don Tolman recommends adding the lemon peel (only if organic) for health reasons.

Hi April, We get a fair number of applicants, and it varies all the time. It is absolutely NOT required that someone be raw for any length of time. What is required is that someone be truly open and coachable. This is paradigm-busting stuff bas...

I guess if you think of it as eating raw as what God intended, and makes us the purest version physically of what were meant to be, then maybe it is a way to get closer to God and clear away the distracting mess of sickness, and the hormone and em...
