I am sooooo confused, can anyone please address this issue which was introduced in this discussion thread (I gave link below). Please start reading ADAM's post about 3/4 way down first page and go thru at least until Asafoetida's post which states this:
"The article is not easy to read without a biochemistry background, but it explains that fructose is metabolized in the liver and large amounts at once is converted to pyruvate (it doesn't say but I believe alcohol-ethanol-goes through the same step), then to fatty acid. So without fiber to slow absorption, you would eventually develop fatty liver same as an alcoholic."
That was me~ I know I was completly shocked that my liver enzymes were up! I thought I was doing something so healthy! Made me mad actually! Went back to eating enzymes came down! Bought to try again~ I'll let you know if my enzymes go up again!
This is another thing that is of concern to me. Fatty liver isn't just fat - it is cellular destruction that leads to cirrosis just like alcoholics get. It's nothing to mess with.

Really Vaughn? That's scary!!
You know, when I learned about juice fasting (not feasting) years ago, I read a book about juice fasting by Paavo Airola and he said to always dilute fruit juice by 50% with water and to make sure you did plenty of veggie juice. Makes a lot of sense.
Now I'm glad I've always done that- esp. when I did a 21 day fast.
Unfortuanetly I'm afraid to do a total juice feast again myself. I am sure that my liver enzymes were whacked during my feast because I had them checked! I am dissapointed as I enjoyed feasting, and I felt really good while doing it! Not to mention I built muscle and lost fat! I am sticking to 811 right now. Havent had a problem with my liver enzymes, my triglycerides have been a little askew though.
Yes ~ I think your right ~ the fat intake is probably the problem>>>> Still working on that! Really love 811 though!!! It was what I gravitated to instinctively without even knowing what it was after my juice feast! Cool huh?
POISON! I love that word.Green juices are the best juices to drink. Straight fruit or high sugary root juice will def do a number on the liver in the long run. Granny smith with some dark greens and celery an awesome juice combo.

Mark, I appreciate this opinion. What I find hard to understand that 'Watermelon juice is a 'poison' but Watermelon whole is not. There is a difference, but is at a big enough one to draw such big distictions?
I do not know the answer, but calling all juice 'poison' does not resonate with me.
Doctors Leon Wilcox and Frank McCoy, both helped people to heal on fresh squeezed Orange juice.
I do not personally believe that it is all black or white.
Love and peace XX.

Hi Mark,
there may be no juice in Nature, but some creatures have evolved to live on fruit juice with no fibre.
The fruit bat is one. She sucks out the juice and spits out the fibre. The butterfly also lives on a liquid diet.
It would be interesting to know how the fruitbat's physiology is designed so that she can live off fruit juice.
Watch all three nights online. Some great info was given, but seemed like it was all about getting people to buy more and more products. All I know is that they made a TON of money.
I irrigate my nose with salt water after almost every shift. I use a little bit of salt with my toothpaste every now and again. My silver fillings are pretty stable and I've noticed a metallic taste in my mouth whenever I use salt so I don't. Clov...
