Home water filters?

I would love to install a shower and kitchen home water filter system. Has anyone done this before? What filters do you recommend?

My friend uses the Jupiter Water Ionizer and Filter systems, but I've read mixed reviews. Any experiences?

His zeolite and mineralization products are also really incredible and my ND speaks very highly of all of his work.
I would be interested to hear what other people think and what you decide to go with ;-)
