Love them for who they are, ask them to love you for who you are and know that food has nothing to do with love.

The best advice I ever recieved was to not try to change him, just love him and live your life. It's true, food has nohing to do with love.

Hello. I'm trying to move to 100 % raw, but my lovely but diary swigging, meat chomping, white bread munching husband is not exactky thrilled to say teh least. Therefore I was very pleased when i saw this group. Hello

I have to agree with Ilene. But fortunately my fiance is so open to new ideas that I think it's only a matter of time before he jumps on the raw bandwagon! Until then I just keep reminding him of how yummy my raw food is and how many chemicals are in his food. : )

I am single but everyone in my life is not raw, it gets really hard when i am trying to do the best for myself and most of these people make a big issue out of it. I feel guilty. Does anyone else feel the same way? How do you stay raw when there is so much outside pressure to eat like everyone else?

I'm hoping that I'm not the only male that wants to be RAW and their wife doesn't (my wife controls the kitchen and isn't too happy when I invade her territory). Anyone else in this particular boat?

Ok so I feel awful thinking this way and dont think im horrable but it grosses me out watching my husband stuffing his face with crapy food and greasy meat. Its like I am watching his body fall apart before me. Do you guys ever feel that way?
sparrowrose Comment by sparrowrose on June 20, 2009 at 11:46pm
Yeah, Brittney, I do. Especially since my husband has several chronic conditions (he swears that diet won't help him because they're congenital. I disagree on the inside but don't want to fight over food so I end up not saying anything in response.)

It's funny . . . someone said, "I just don't see how you can stand it, your husband having all that food in the house that you can't eat."

Well, I CAN eat it, I CHOOSE not to. And I wouldn't want to anways, because it's gross. LOL! I asked her how she can stand to give her dog Alpo, knowing she couldn't eat it.

sparrowrose that was soooooooo funny. Yeah people act like you're suffering. My boyfriends parents were in town and all I would eat at the steak house they took me to was salad and my boyfriend said "you have to suffer for beauty". I'm thinking to myself I'M NOT SUFFERING. The funny thing is this dinner took place when I was only a vegetarian imagine how our next dinner will be. Guess what my guy said he's going to try being a rawist. YAY! I hope he likes it.

Well we are not early man. Sitting on the computer typeing isn't natural. Not sure what being natural has to do with working out. Jumping rope at a moderate pace seems okay for someone out of shape or for a warm up. If you want it to be an effect...

I find it's quicker to make four cuts, scaling the outer skin equally then pulling it away and thumping with a wooden spoon. Plus it's less of a mess and you don't lose any juice because none of the kernels are cut :) There are different varietie...

Pomegranate seeds can add fall color to any dish. They are good for more than just their color and flavor, they are full of nutrients, too. Pomegranates are full of Vitamin C, one pomegranate contains nearly 50% of the daily value of Vitamin C. ...
