1 or 2 bananas, 1 or 2 handfuls of spinach or parsley, a dash of flaxseed oil, a cup of water. Blend! Yum! serves one or two, depending how hungry you are ;-)

A great recipe for a "fall" green smoothie is kale, apples, and cranberries.
The apple masks the greens and the cranberries (so great in the fall!) add a unique flavor...

If you're feeling gourmet- a dash of cinnamon might be good.

Happy sipping :)

one of my favorite smoothies (actually pudding) is one from the raw divas that I am addicted to...2 oranges, 3 medjool dates, half a papaya, and one HUGE handful of spinach--yummy! I usually add in a couple kale leaves with it too.

yes, I just had a banana and swiss chard smoothie for lunch...yummy!
I use mainly spinach, kale, swiss chard, and parsley as my greens

yes...parsley, banana, blueberries, and kale smoothie...the banana and blueberries really cuts the strong taste of the parsley

What do you eat in the first stage? I really think I am going to try and get this book because I always crave fermented, savory foods and sea veggies. Do you eat animal protein?

This is great information! Now, if I can only get my grandmother to eat raw parsley. Next round of shopping I'll have to grab some.

New Zealand is just more environmentally conscientious than most places. I guess being an island is part of the reason. I loved NZ when I visited.

You could make an avocado chocolate (or carob) mousse but sweeten it with stevia, so you'll only be getting the fat and not the sugar. Or you could make a green smoothie (or a regular, non-fat smoothie) and freeze it into sorbet:-)
