i've been raw for 7 months now and have just started dating a non-raw guy. Man is it challenging! He's not too keen on eating raw (or being very flexible) and so the raw food thing might end up being the "make or break." *le sigh*

I can tolerate a lot more when I'm raw, but why should I have to? When I'm with someone it's nicer if they're supportive, not just tolerable.

You can always view it in the same way that we view cigarette smoking. Love the smoker, not the smoke.

Seriously though, I always prefer to lead by example, both in acceptance of others and how they live and in how I live. I frequently fail to live how I would like to, but I try and that's 90% of the battle, I think.

The act of joining this group took a lot of courage for me to do because I've been in the closet for as long as I can remember but going raw has made me incredibly brave in taking the steps to reveal who I truly am. I no longer fear what other people think or say about me. I am gay and proud of it. There. I said it. :)
