- I think I'll do it tonight, cook a potpourri. I have a tea mix, whole dried herbs and flowers of verbena, lemongrass, rosemary, melissa, urtica dioica, peppermint, white savory, equistum, licorice bark, hibiscus, rose, chamomile, lavender and fennel seed. I plan to put it up on low temperature in the old (in years but brand new condition) six quart crockpot. It should be nice to smell that cooking in the cool evening.

Comment by itzhakts on May 30, 2009 at 12:32pm - With the exception of the past couple of months (Passover through Shavuoth including all the interim "holiday celebrations") where I have fallen off my usual eating habbits and gained FIVE KILOS (how could I have done such a thing after losing more than twenty), I classify cooking (for me, anyway) as either steamed, quickly stir fried or pureed soup (I'm not counting tea infusions which I have all the time). I try to keep at least 70% RAW, 20% cooked vegan and 10% meat (It's hard for me to say no to a thick well cooked bloody steak with wine) or fish (does sashimi count as RAW).

Someone very close to me expressed to me that he was diagnosed bipolar a few years ago. Now that the season is transitioning into winter, I am noticing that his moods are more erratic and the things he says are very negative and worrisome at times...
