Give it to me Raw

Hi all, I was hoping we could post some recipes here to share with one another that are onion and garlic free. Most sweets and desserts obviously don't contain these items, but it is hard to find salty and savory dishes without the use of onions, garlic, or chili peppers. I also would like to find delicious salad dressing ideas that are without these ingredients. For my salads I tried plain lemon juice, but that doesn't taste very good to me yet - so right now I'm just eating salads with balsamic vinegar and olive oil (though balsamic vinegar isn't raw, and I'm trying to move away from vinegars). Any great recipe ideas???

Anyway, I just found something today that I really like. I am a soup lover, but most savory raw soups all seem to contain onions and garlic. Then I made this one today with is simple and wonderful and free of stimulants! I thought I'd post it to share. I'll certainly make this one again.

Raw Spinach Soup (from Brigitte Mars book, Rawsome)

4 cups of chopped spinach
2 cups of water
1 avocado, pitted and peeled
1/2 teaspoon of Celtic sea salt
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of chopped basil
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg

Combined all ingredients in a blender,
puree and serve

I don't think our soil has nearly the same trace mineral concentration, so I think unrefined salt can be helpful. The seawater example doesn't fly because, like any substance, what is good in small amounts can be bad in large amounts. BTW- I've ne...

Cinnamon powder is used in Chinese medicine for colds and flus. Use lots. Iodine is also good for killing viruses and preventing sickness. I like Atomidine brand, but nascent is good, too.
