Essene way..................

This may be a loaded question, but I'll throw it out anyway. Is there anyone else who considers themselves an Essene who is also a Christian? The Essene Way is a deep, spiritual, and complex study and I can indentify with many aspects of it, but I would never reject certain things I believe in to embrace it. Just curious. I'm a truth seeker like I'm sure we all are. Blessings to each and every one!

Hey Kelli,
I think one trend is to espouse various aspects of different spiritual philosophies, all the while retaining most or part of your original religion or spiritual practice.
Buddhism might be the most available example of what I mean: Numerous people see themselves as Buddhist-Christian, or Buddhist-Jew, etc.

Others come up with their own version of spirituality according to what connects them to the divine, without choosing to place any particular label on it.

I agree with you about the Essene Way being deep and complex, and I think it is perfectly ok to adopt aspects that speak to you and leave the rest. Labels are in the end just that: labels.
The ultimate detail in this whole spiritual seeking journey is the connection one experiences with the Divine. Does it really matter what name it takes on?
