Give it to me Raw

Whichever floats your boat, let's hear it, and why. Maybe it's St. John Rivers, or Mr. Bingley (or Dowager Viscountess Dalrymple, no judging).

I'll start: Mr. Rochester - Jane Eyre, Professor Friedrich Bhaer - Little Women, and Colonel Christopher Brandon - Sense and Sensibility. As you can see, I prefer the older gentlemen ... I like the seasoned ones who have made their mistakes, will pick me up in their phaeton and thank the lord every day he gave them a second chance at happiness. I raise my cup of earl grey to these gents.

I love Mr. Rochester! I also love Orson Welles playing him- an unlikely crush, I know!!
I don't know how to pick favorites! I do love Lizzy Bennett, as far as female characters go. She's so witty and I love wit:)

I'm re-reading Emma right now. If I lived in Highbury, I know I'd have a thing for Mr. Knightly- I like how he gives Emma a hard time:) She deserves it! I have to admit I feel a lot of sympathy for poor Jane Fairfax- I relate a little because I'm kind of shy and reserved, also.

Jeremy Northam, yummo. And I loved Gabriel Burne as Professor Bhaer. I could always relate more to Bronte ladies (Anges Grey, Villette, Jane Eyre), I root for plain girls, yeah!

I always related to Elinor Dashwood- having to be the responsible, self-contained sister while the younger sister is a drama queen!

I've become a big Agatha Christie fan- I like that early 1950's England time period.
I also love the Agatha Christie's Ms. Marple series that PBS Mystery! had on last year- it's seriously fun to watch! The clothes and sets (and people) are all gorgeous and the stories are a bit racier than original Ms. Marple stories, lol!

Yes- I've gotten most of them from Netflix- I like the series with Geraldine McEwan as Ms. Marple.
I also LOVE Foyle's War- a British WWII mystery series. What is it with me and British mysteries, LOL?

Oooh, the most recent Persuasion (2007) was very good. I must say, Captain Wentworth ... meow.

I really enjoyed the 2002 Forsyte Saga (mini-series). And Then There Were None is my fave Agatha Christie story, although Hallowe'en Party was good too. I think that was Hercule Poirot.

I loved that series! I despised the character of the husband- Soames Forsyte. When I see that actor (Damian Lewis) on TV now, I can't help but hate him, lol!
