This is a 'getting to know you' event.

Bring a raw vegan(organic, if you can) dish to share with 8 to 10 people. If you're new at this, you may look at http://goneraw.com/recipes for ideas. Luckily, this is the time where roadside stands are full of fresh produce to admire and inspire! To save the planet one plate at a time, bring your own dish and utensils. We do have spare dishes just in case, but no dishwasher, really. Hope to see you there, feel free to stay late and enjoy the outdoors with us. Bring your swimsuit and a towel.

I like to do fasts as well and I think the power in fasting is that its a remedial action, one part of the process of purifiying. For instance if you feel you have a lot of non-virtuous residue or spiritual obstacles to remove, you generate regret...

don't agree with the whole raw food creating a damp environment thing because of the wildly different effects of different raw foods. i've found candida to respond to 100% raw, several different approaches.
