I just love this idea, wish I could find a group in TEXAS near Dallas who wants to do this. Would love to get some land and build cob houses on it, grow our own food, etc.

I'm working on creating an ecovillage in Sedona, Arizona, but for the mo, it's just two humans and 7 other mammals cohabitating on a small ranch with an organic farm. By the end of 2009, I'd like to have a few more people living here and the garage remodeled. It would be ideal to get a few yurts donated. The ranch house is used all the time for events, classes and potlucks, so it already has something of an ecovillage feel.

I have visions of a community near an ocean somewhere... it's surrounded by mountains and enshrouded in a mist of fresh electric sea air...

I don't know if it already exists or if I will co-create it. Probably the latter.

It seems like everyone wants the same thing. All my close friends and everyone I speak to that is on a conscious and healing path wants something similar. People want to live off the land, live in a high vibrational community, be self sustainable, raise consciousness, eat the best foods ever, etc.....
We've talked about our dream so many times, but the question is how to make it become reality. Time is speeding up and the world is on the brink of disaster, so I feel like we need to make it happen somehow.... it takes a lot of commitment, money, unfortunately, and organization. I would love to have pods all around the world with like minded people wanting to create a global web of community for everyone to benefit from.
I recently moved to Egypt from San Francisco and would like to set up a base here, it's a beautiful country with breathtaking scenery and so much to see. Just out of curiosity, would anyone be interested, if it did exist, to come to retreats here and explore the land of the ancient. I think it would be a super exciting and adventurous journey.

I long for community!
We have visited "Twelve Tribes" communities a couple of times. I loved it! and would have stayed if I could. Finding a community that suits seems to be much harder in a family situation.
