Give it to me Raw

Information

Candida Busters

A group for those with candida to share their findings and discuss how we can BUST IT!!!! I thought we needed an energizing and positive group name. This is a really hard thing to beat and I suspect there will be many different opinions and that's ok

Hi all,

I'm new to raw foods, have been dx w/ Candida and Adrenal Fatigue, and have no idea where to start. I've been confused by all the diets out there, etc. thorugh the years and have a number of candida books that seem to contradict each other! (I'm sure you all have experienced similar!) I really feel that raw is the way to go, but I'm unsure what I need to include / leave out, etc. just to start feeling more energy, less spacey, brain fog, achy, etc. I've worked w/ acupuncture, energy healers, nutritionists, MDs, NDs, etc., and they all contradict each other too! HELP! ;)

Hi,

New to this site and raw foods...not sure if I'm posting in the right spot. Anyone who can offer a few thoughts on something I've been noticing is appreciated! (thanks again multisport bee for the link!)

In addition to my Candida and Adrenal Fatigue, I get migraines too (hormonal) and whenever I do I end up throwing up a lot and not eating - sort of setting my body up into "mini-fasts"... Well, after I don't eat, I wake up the next day or two later, once the pain goes away, I don't feel the muscle achy feeling, brain fog, low energy, etc. About a day after I start eating - no matter what it is I eat - I start to feel brain fog, achy, slow motion, etc. I'm noticing a definite connection between not eating and feeling better...yet I know I can't NOT eat! Does this sound like food allergies or leaky gut or is this just something w/ candida? Thanks!

Hi Amy! Do you use sea salt? Adding that in with some water could help balance out a mineral deficiency. You may be low in magnesium. Cacao also is high in magnesium.Do you drink distilled water or reverse osmosis? Celery juice is a good thing to drink during and after a fast. Have you tried that?

One of the FAQ's from Hal Huggins' website:

"Question: Is 'Candida' related to my amalgams (silver fillings)?
Strangely enough, Candida is there to save your life. It changes methyl mercury to a less toxic (but still toxic) form. Bacteria change it back to methyl mercury, and the system goes back and forth. If Candida were eliminated while you have amalgam in your mouth, your health will not be as good as if it were there protecting you. Complex, but yes, there is a relationship."

How I wish I knew this in 1982 when I was first diagnosed with candida. You won't truly get rid of your candida if you've got a mercury issue - it is also causing the adrenal fatigue, digestive disorders, brain fog etc. If anyone is interested I've started a ning forum on mercury and heavy metal toxicity/detox. There is a group devoted to the candida-mercury connection (also on on adrenal fatigue). be-mercury-free.ning.com

Okay, so I'm confused again. I want to heal the root cause of my candida and everything else. I believe raw food is healing and could be a main contributer to my recovery. However, how am i to eat no fruit? I did 1 month of no grains and fruit 2 years ago and had absolutely no energy. Plus if you dont eat carbs, you have to eat lots of fat, but thats hard on my liver and I get a gall bladder (or around there) pain if I eat high fat. Grrr, I know I can't expect someone to just give me all the answers on here. I need a real doctor, but can't afford one. I'm lost.

It's actually surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it. No machete required. Shave off the husk at the pointed top close to the shell. Then poke the point of a knife in about 2 or 3 cm out from the centre and wiggle it about until it pierces ...
