it is all about the IN AND OUT.

hey hey ... I am talking about BREATHING here

in breath - out breath

hmmmm well ... prana ... pranayama really ... yeah ... and if we are doing really really good INHALES then the EXHALES will take care of themselves.

Hmmmm that is interesting - If I do amazing inhales - the only way to do another amazing inhale is to exhale in the same manner.

When I realized that I would be breathing the rest of my life - I thought it would be good to get really really good at breathing. So I breath every day now ... really doing it .

Would love to hear back from the rest of the group how they work on their breathing .. taking in more and more of life and releasing more and more !

band big blessings to you Raini for putting this one together ... blessings KFKC

Breathing in the colours, breathing in the Light, breathing out the Love. Don't foget to breathe :)

Haha Well Said KFKC and Lorianne... Laughter is nothing more than controlled exhalation and positive thought, or maybe the lack of thought. ( arguably along with an animalistic perking of the ears). After all the definition of nirvana is "to exhale." To inhale is the first thing we desire from birth, aside from our mothers love. To exhale is the last thing we desire, for when you no longer desire to inhale, you will no longer be. And if you just think... anytime one desires ANYTHING... a deep inhale and long exhale can satisfy that desire. Maybe oxygen and positive thought is the only cure for desire. Maybe the lack of oxygen due to negative thoughts is what spawns desire. When you are cold, controlled breathing is what feeds the fire inside, the oxygen to warm you. Food does not give energy. Food takes more energy away from you, through digestion, than it gives your body. No matter how raw. Food gives vitamins minerals and stimulation. Pranayama creates energy out of thin air. As Karmafree said, the exhale is a byproduct of the conscious deep inhale. Another taoist opposite. A clear mind holds infinite possibilities, just like a blank piece of paper. Once a thought is present. You are no longer as present.

Sometimes, I don't even desire oxygen, but I guess one step at a time :) This is actually the next big one for me. I'm pretty satisfied with my diet, but I seriously need to work on this. At the RSF I did a breathing session and OMG, I was in nirvana. Literally. I felt very at home and at peace just there in my body. I was in total bliss and desired nothing more then to stay in that state for at least another 1000 years, but "our class is over, time for the next group". I did a private session and was amazed at how shifting breathing patterns can shift consciousness and vis versa. Our breath is connected to many things, and the facilitator could tell me many things that were going on in my life just by my breath. So anyway, I bought the book and started in ("Breath Deep, Laugh Loudly"). We are actually "trained" to breath wrong right from birth. It is a forceful and painful experience which sets us on the wrong course from the get go. I'm actually committing the next 4 months to working on this intensely. Also a bit of Jasmuheen's stuff.

Yes, they say the best things in life are free, who'd think breathing could be so powerful. Without it we die, certainly, but we could do so much better than we're accustomed to..

yes yes ... in my classes we talk about how one can live without food for weeks and liquids for days and - breathing - well .... that is usually measured in minutes. After a good breathing session there are moments when I can take an inhale and allow that prana to go through my whole body for minutes - totally effortless and it is .. well ... divine! Yes is all I can say ....
