Give it to me Raw

Has anyone read Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser, The Jungle by Upton Sinclair, or Sunfood Living by John McCabe? I just thought I would ask because I am interested in what people thought/think about one or all of these books. Also curious if people went vegetarian/vegan out of concern for animals or if you read the above books or if it was something else?

There's more, but I can't think! I would love to read Fast Food Nation and the Jungle. If I remember, I'll post again! hehe.

i haven't read those books amazingly but i did see the movie Fast Food Nation (too busy to read~ gotta see the movie! laugh.. better go pick 'em up (hopefully!) at the library ;] (the Pikes Peak Library District actually does have a pretty great raw food book selection, we may just have 'em! )...

i 'went veg' when i was 13ish~ at school we had 'environmental day' and at one point in the day watched a video on how veal is 'made' ... ick the living conditions for those poor animals is just so completely disgusting, inhumane and horrifying that at that very moment i quit eating animal flesh.... um... cold turkey.

how about you, Rebecca? :)
