A friend recently told me that aloe can transform burns into looking [almost] non-existent. Has anyone had an experience like this? I've been using coconut oil but am open to trying something different.
I had a burn in my lower back from a lemon spill that go under the sun at the beach years and years ago...
never went away.... once I just for fun let some aloe I was putting in a motthie dry over it.... didi it again next day and it was gone ! two days.... wish I had pictures...
My story is that a little girl tipped over an oil lamp and both her forearms were badly burned by the hot oil. Her dad immediately sliced a huge aloe spear lengthwise and - seriously, this is such dad magic, I loved it :D - DUCT TAPED the spears to her arms, which she wore for about 5 days everywhere. To school, to bed, everywhere. They were about two or three inches wide and 8 inches long. Can't remember if he changed them daily, but I hope so. When they were peeled off, she had zero scarring or any sign of skin damage at all.
This is not a burn story, but I sliced my hand with a mandoline 2 days ago. Anyone squeemish? I'm not talking a scratch here, it was pretty deep. I didn't panic at all because I knew I had aloe in the house. So just got a chunk and bandaged it on. Today, just 2 days later, the cut has totally joined back together. The gell kind of contracts as it dries and pulls the wound together like glue. I always knew it was miraculous but it was good to see it first hand. Also, moral of the story...be careful with your mandoline!
