I have been experiencing other gum problems, though I don't know how much of it is related to 80-10-10. I have heard of others too, but all seem to have ulterior causes.
I have had receding gums for several years, from being really sick and my body being in a constant state of inflammation. I just had to have work done on eleven teeth, having the areas filled with compositive material. For me, it has been primarily a case of poor digestion. I still don't tolerate very much acidic fruit, and I stay away from nuts and seeds, which are irritating for me. Anything that irritates my gums and mouth, I avoid now. I think eventually this will improve.
I had receding gums before 80/10/10, but they resolved after doing 80/10/10 for a while.
In terms of how concerned you should be - I'd say that's a personal decision based on how bad the receding is and how much it bothers you, as well as whether it's getting better or worse...
I've seen success with oil pulling for receding gums. It's the best remedy I know of. It's a very popular remedy.
Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic technique that involves swishing 1 tbsp of an unrefined, cold pressed oil like sesame or coconut in the mouth for about 15-20min then spitting it out, remembering to never swallow it. Oil pulling is known not only for it’s proven benefit on receding gums, but also for whitening teeth, freshening breath, reversing gum loss and stopping bleeding gums. I recommended it to an older friend of mine who had receding gums and with a very short time his gums were much healthier and ceased to recede.
There are many reasons to why it happens. Moving beyond the typical periodontal disease diagnosis by main-stream academia, I did read an amazingly insightful explanation but unfortunately I can't recall where I read it or the content of the explanation. I am on a hunt for it now. Hopefully I'll be able to report back with it within a short time. For now, make sure you switch from using a toothpaste to using tooth soap. The glycerin is a major cause of tooth decay because it's so sticky and stops your teeth from remineralizing naturally.I've also read that fluoride destroys the beneficial bacteria that live in your gums and helps to keep them strong and healthy. Avoiding fluoride in your toothpaste and drinking water goes far beyond oral health and is beyond the scope of this discussion.
My gums start to receed and hurt when I eat too many oranges but soon felt alot better when I started back blending my fruit with greens. If I drink regular green smoothies my gums feel amazing
I've met some hit chix on GITMR. Not satisfying in the least. Just the opposite. Most communication is self-defeating, accomplishes nothing. I would love it if people would leave me alone when I'm out and about. Anybody else?
Mariam, watching this raises questions: for instance, is this guy just an actor?
Seems like it. "Am I glad I went"? Well, in the sense that I knew I had to see him eventually.....I guess I got it over with (and used up my airline credit). Is he a...
"Did I meet any hot chix?" I love it~! Ha! Ha! Ha!
I've met too many of those in my life, already, many more than enough. I think I've had enough. But thanks!
also, a dr. friend told me that some of the waxy stuff can drip into your ear and do permanent damage. it does feel great, but i don't do it any longer. i've actually fallen asleep while having it done. =/
Thank you Wrenn that is what I thought too and your comments are very helpful! I think it would also be cool at $.99 for 5 TOTALLY new raw recipes and then it can be a series of them at $.99 each...thanks for your comment!
women wants to re-make them just like if they were their own babies, and yet they want them to act grown up like a "real" man father and all that stuff. doomed to fail each time
